dcollect Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 i have these for many years but i have my doubt about them piece 1 piece 2
Matthew Macleod Posted January 16, 2022 Posted January 16, 2022 I don't see any red flags, at least from those pics. Why do you have doubts? Anything in particular?
dcollect Posted January 16, 2022 Author Posted January 16, 2022 piece nr 2 came to me with a fake ribbon so i find it very strange .
Matthew Macleod Posted January 17, 2022 Posted January 17, 2022 Is there a mark on the medal's ribbon ring? I like the medal. I like its details. The fact that it features burnished highlights (swastika & verso lettering) is a good thing. I don;t think I have seen that feature on fakes with the exception of early Souval knock-offs.

I wouldn't worry to much about fake ribbons, it happens, pieces get complemented. Sellers sometimes just want to upgrade an original piece to make some more bucks but it doesn't say anything about the medal in question. Best. Peter

Might be just me, but I think you got two very nice originals here. I'd love to have them in my collection.
