peron Posted February 28, 2022 Posted February 28, 2022 (edited) A nice find for my collection...this WWI set of medals with a coronation medal (atributed) 9496 2 A.M. A.D. Jones R.F.C. (R.A.F.) Can any of our British members give a help on what 2 A.M. could mean? Also in the coronation medal is inscribe (Cons. A.D. Jones) what the abreviation "Cons." could mean??? Gordon Craig Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 In WWI RFC/RAF 2 A. M. meant Air Mechanic 2nd class. Air Mechanics served in Observation Balloon units and Aircraft Squadrons as mechanics and also flew as observers in reconnaissance squadrons. Regards, Gordon 1
