Two ww1 wound badges - contemporary or modern repros?

Hi all,

I just got these two wound badges from my local flea market. Nothing special, but I would be very grateful for any opinions on them being contemporary originals or later reproductions. They are both magnetic.

Black grade is a good one, gold should have a painted finish to be an award piece.

@VtwinVince thank you for your input! Do I get you right that the mattgelb piece has to be painted to be a period piece? I think this may be the case here as the yellow paint seems to be rubbed off in the upper part. Or do I interpret this wrong? Would love to hear what you think. I have made better pictures of the area in question. Greetings

That's right, the finish on the original run of gold versions was painted on.
