100yardsovertherim Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 I've recently acquired this interesting Japanese paper item which I assume is from the 1930's or 1940's. One one side, it has several medals while on the other is a battlefield scene. Also, included on the back side are air insignia of Japan and other world powers. I didn't see any staple holes so I'm inclined to think this wasn't in a book or magazine. However, I'm a bit puzzled as to what was the purpose of the poster since it is dual-sided and what entity printed it. Does anyone have any idea if this was printed by the Japanese government, school system, military, or private publisher and to what purpose? I assume the medals side is to educate on Japanese medals. However, I'm unsure about the battle scene. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
