VtwinVince Posted January 27 Posted January 27 You know what I think, but let's see if our resident Bavaria experts chime in.
Stogieman Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen! This may have a Godet tag on the back, but I don’t believe the ribbon folds are consistent with the Godet bars I’ve seen. I suppose in light of the Bavarian Fire Award the recipient may have requested this but it feels suspect to me. Your thoughts? It sold for the opening bid of 480-Euro
VtwinVince Posted January 28 Posted January 28 I agree, fake bar but possibly real awards, which would make that not a bad deal.

Stogieman Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 As far as I’m concerned, this is a put-together bar. Ribbons don’t match the age/appearance of the medals and the mounting is inconsistent with period examples.
Stogieman Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 I’m sorry, I just didn’t care for this bar, despite the closing bid of 403-Euro. I just can’t wrap my head around an Austrian NCO being awarded a Saxon St. Henry Medal. This one isn’t even an issue piece. Can anyone explain how that could have happened? Thanks in advance.
Stogieman Posted February 2 Author Posted February 2 This copy of the Prussian Air Gunner Badge in a case sold for 401-Euro. Pay close attention to the beak of the eagle and the shape of the rivets on the back!
Stogieman Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Another fake Wagner PLM, sold for $550. Looks like a downward trend in prices but people are still buying them.
Stogieman Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Pretty sure this is fake, can’t imagine only the two awards with that “long service cross”
VtwinVince Posted February 15 Posted February 15 Ugg, more sophisticated crap from our Belgian friends....
