Marcel60 Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Dear all, Part of my small Japanese medals collection: two medals relating to the '1937-1945 China Incident'. One very common, the other apparently slightly less common though not rare. The China Incident medal came in a case including wrapping paper, the commemorative medal is of course uncased. Hopefully they are both OK ;-). Greetings, Marcel 1

Medal looks original. Only the ribbon of commemorative is a modern replacement and suspension ring could be resoldered/glued.

I think the suspension ring was resoldered. The look of whatever holds it together is like silvery metal. On 21/01/2024 at 11:54, Aniki said: What is the weight of less common one? Including the ribbon the commemorative medal weighs 17.5 gr. The 'war' medal 28.4 gr. I cannot remove the ribbons, but if I try to support the ribbon then the medals weigh around 16.3 gr and 25.7 gr. Very inaccurate obviously 😉 Greetings, Marcel
