Daniel Cole Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Hello, I'm working on a project covering an soldier who died in Scharnhorst on 26 December, 1943. Would his EKM have Scharnhorst and his service number, or his Name and service Number, or just Service number? Thanks Dan
Gordon Craig Posted February 20 Posted February 20 It should have his name and service number only. Regards, Gordon
2dresq Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Hi, So I guess this is a bit of a loaded question. It would depend. The Serial number and such would have been when and where the sailor was inducted into the Reichsmarine or Kriegsmarine. The Physical locations. N being Northsee and O being Ostsee. for example. Chances are, that this sailor would have been assigned to a unit or schule before being assigned to the Scharnhorst. Best Regards JustinG
