Stogieman Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 What's a fair price for a Gaunt RFC wing these days? Cloth one too? Thanks much, Rick
Stogieman Posted May 10, 2006 Author Posted May 10, 2006 Reverse.. very soft, not stiff at all despite how thick it is. NO UV reactivity at all.
Bob Hunter Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Rick, is that a Gaunt stamped tablet affixed the reverse or is the maker mark stamped directly into the wings?
Stogieman Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 It's a tiny silver plaque attached to the back of the wings.
Tony Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Rick,No idea really as I can't afford RFC items but I think the cloth wings go for upwards of ?250. That's just an educated guess, I could be wrong. It could also be a case of asking what you want as they are thin on the ground. Is there any reason why the left wing has 11 feathers and the right wing only 10?Tony
Stogieman Posted May 15, 2006 Author Posted May 15, 2006 Hi Tony, no clue why it would be different?? Quirk of the embroidery? The Gaunt wing has 12 on each side!!
Gary Cain Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Hi Rick,I have to say I don't much like the metal brevet so won't make a guess on that one. The cloth on the other hand looks peachy and would easily fetch 350-450USD.CheersGary
