Stogieman Posted Tuesday at 11:30 Share Posted Tuesday at 11:30 I’m not sure who/when this set was assembled. I found it interesting and thought it worth sharing and discussing. Ran through US eBay, final bid was $485. The devices added to the mountings are curious. The attributed name is: Graf Franz Eitel Wilhelm von Salm Horslinar? I seriously doubt that any officer with that name didn’t receive other awards but this is what there is. Comments?? Thoughts?? Anyone know that name?? VtwinVince Posted Tuesday at 15:48 Share Posted Tuesday at 15:48 I saw that one and thought the whole thing was a fake, including the spurious engraving filled with spelling errors.
Stogieman
There seems to be a real cottage industry coming up with these “sets”. Between the EK ones, flight badge ones and now this. I don’t know where they’re all coming from but I do know that as long as people keep buying, they will keep coming! Again, our hobby has become a minefield. I’ve so restricted my focus because of this!
VtwinVince
Agreed, it all started about ten years ago with a bunch of fake Luftstreitkraefte sets with spurious engravings coming out of eastern Europe. Now the floodgates have opened.
