Paul C Posted September 18 Posted September 18 I just picked up a WWI Victory Medal engraved on the rim 18991 SJT. J. Osborne R.A. Is the 18991his service number? I assume the SJT is Sergeant. Is that correct? I also assume R.A. is Royal Artillery. is that correct? Lastly, is it possible to research this person 1
Mike Huxley Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Hi Paul, Yes you are right on all counts about the the soldier. I will try and check for any further information on him for you. Mike 1
Mike Huxley Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Paul, Here is what I found so far. Jacob Osborne Sergeant 18991 Royal Garrison Artillery also awarded British War Medal. This was from his medal index card. I could send you a copy of it by email only, as I believe we shouldn't post images from the archives on here. Mike
