Egorka Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) Greetings! I don't think I have ever seen such engraving style on these OBH from 1936. I have a bad feeling about it... Edited October 7 by Egorka
Konstantin Posted October 8 Posted October 8 The Order #4391 was discussed on local Russian forum and recognized as authentic by experts who's opinion you may rely on! https://sammler.ru/index.php?/topic/213927-орден-знак-почета-4391/#comment-2405396 2
Megan Posted October 8 Posted October 8 The sammler.ru thread you reference doesn't have a good face on view of the reverse AND the number has been partially obscured by the owner. Is it the same badge as the one presented above?
Konstantin Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Yes! Seems to the same. Different angle but scratches are at their place.
Michaelwave Posted October 8 Author Posted October 8 I appreciate everyone’s concern to the authenticity of this award. I do trust the opinions of experts on Sammler.ru. I have also consulted with experts that I know personally and I believe this to be a real piece. although, like said before, I haven’t seen any numbers in this range with a similar engraving style either. to answer the question. Yes mine is the same award as the one posted on Sammler 1
Konstantin Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Lowest number I got is above 20,000 so cannot say anything on the engraving style. Labour awards are not on top of my interest, personal bravery medals attract me much more. I can advise you to compare it to the earlier Red Stars styles, think this hand is met there )
Egorka Posted October 11 Posted October 11 I am glad then for you having such nice early item and with an interesting personal story behind! Thank you Konstantin for pointing at the relevant forum!
Egorka Posted October 12 Posted October 12 (edited) The decree 18 August 1936 on bestowal of the of commanders, political workers, engineers, technicians and military doctors of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. For outstanding achievements in combat, political and technical training of military units... Edited October 12 by Egorka 1
Mondvor Posted November 3 Posted November 3 The only problem with this order - is a screwpost base. Orders with this serial number range SHOULD NOT have screwpost base. Compare the numbers in this range.
