Alfred Posted Saturday at 17:46 Share Posted Saturday at 17:46 1) Meritorious Service in Battle medal 2) Distinguished Labour Medal What do you think about the medals? Are they original or were the serial numbers added later? I tend to like the battle medal (1) and I think the Labour medal (2) was made out of a later variant. Medal with U-shaped ring oder ring part of the medal. best regards and thanks Andreas
Egorka Posted Saturday at 18:35 Share Posted Saturday at 18:35 (edited) The Distinguished Labour Medal is definitely bad... For the FCM, I am more open... though the engraving stile is not quite matching the range, according to my limited knowledge. But there is a chance the medal is good. Would it be possible to make a sharp photo of FCM reverse but under an angle (not straight down)? Edited Saturday at 18:38 by Egorka

Egorka Posted Sunday at 18:01 Share Posted Sunday at 18:01 (edited) is the thickness 2.9-3.0 mm ? Also, it is not an exclusive sign as it can be 50/50, but if you see concentric circles on the on he reverse, these are definitive sign of authenticity. But not all authentic medals in that range have those. Edited Sunday at 18:01 by Egorka
Alfred Posted Monday at 15:55 Author Share Posted Monday at 15:55 Many thanks for your explanation. These are the picture I have collected in my database. My electronic measure tool is at the moment out of order. I will measure the thickness of the medal in the next days. best regards Andreas
