Guest Rick Research Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Well, who ISSUED it?Cannot read the issuing authority with stamp at bottom of the second page.
order_of_victory Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 It was issued in by the Minsk avtomobilne zavod? Does that make sense
Guest Rick Research Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Yup! I wondered about the logo on bottom left.So this was a workplace present-- and wouldn't this be great in a group where we have absolutely NO clue what veterans were doing from their official jubilee medal paperwork. Very nice-- never seen one like it before!
NavyFCO Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Neat document! I don't think it has anything to do with the medal itself, but is more of a document that was made for the veterans working in the factory in 1975. I have seen a few items like this, but none exactly like this one, as they were all made up according to the specifications of the individual organization. One of my favorites was for a nuclear submarine construction facility which made a photoalbum for all of it's veteran employees with photos of each employee (together with their workgroup) that had served in the GPW. Fascinating!Dave
order_of_victory Posted May 17, 2006 Author Posted May 17, 2006 I never relised that the factory would issued douments More intresting than it first appered.
