    Hello,

According to his Personalakte, Generalleutnant Paul von Hase was awarded the Commander's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the White Rose of Finland on 08 May 1942.

    1) Is the award date (08 May 1942) correct?

    2) Was he awarded it "with Swords" or "without Swords"?

    Thanks

Paul von Hase got the Commander 1st class with swords on March 30th as one of only 26 people to get it with swords.

14 of them was germans and the rest from Finland.

19 people got the 2nd class commander with swords. 15 of them were germans.

    Thank you Johan!

So, Paul von Hase got it on 30 March 1942?

The date I mentioned should be the German approval date then.

Grand Master of the Order of the White Rose of Finland
    Helsinki.

I hereby respectfully propose that Field Marshal Eduard Milch of the German Air Force be awarded the Grand Cross of the White Rose of Finland with Swords and that Lieutenant General Paul Hase be awarded the Commander's Cross of the White Rose of Finland, 1st Class with Swords.

Both of the aforementioned German officers have worked particularly meritoriously for the benefit of the Finnish Army.

I respectfully request that the proposal be processed urgently so that the decorations can be awarded to the highest German military personnel in connection with the awarding of the Cross of Liberty, which will take place shortly.

    Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces
    Field Marshal Mannerheim

"Lieutenant General Hase has worked particularly meritoriously for the benefit of the Finnish Army."
