Stogieman Posted Monday at 12:05 Posted Monday at 12:05 (edited) Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen! I was fortunate enough to be able to visit an advanced collector this past weekend. Knowing my love of all things Saxon, I was treated to some very interesting and remarkable pieces! But of everything I handled these really stuck out! For your consideration and comments, please see below. We poured through Nimmergut and I could not find any references to these items! we have a first type Albert RK1mS, an Albert Kreuz am Schwerter and as far as I could tell, a WW1 era St. Henry RK in gold. On the St. Henry, I’ve seen one other piece in gold. Weitze had it cased, allegedly attributed to Weddigen. Paper label on the bottom of the case with his name on it! No reference for this cross in gold but, in my opinion and experience, legitimate! Your thoughts and comments are appreciated and most welcome! Edited Monday at 12:07 by Stogieman
VtwinVince Posted Monday at 15:48 Posted Monday at 15:48 'Advanced collector' eh? I wonder who that could be? Anyway, these are really impressive pieces, and show that we don't know everything about this subject. Is there a name on the Langensalza Medal?
Stogieman Posted Monday at 16:04 Author Posted Monday at 16:04 Yes, if memory serves, it was named on the rim, but I didn’t make a note of the name.😔
Rittersmith1916 Posted Monday at 17:23 Posted Monday at 17:23 I’ve recently completed looking at every posting on this forum. I’m certain that the Albert Cross medal bar has been posted in the distant past, from Andreas perhaps? I usually save images for my reference and I’m surprised that I did not capture this one.
Stogieman Posted 9 hours ago Author Posted 9 hours ago Yes, I do believe my friend received the AK bar from Andreas albeit quite some time back
