Monsun Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Hello, yesterday I get this two pieces. A celleon officer chest eagle and a cockade/thread in metal. What do you think? Good or bad? Is the metal cockade/thread especially for the NCO Cap? And was the chest eagle ok for a late (1943) KM officer jacket? Any oppinions are welcome. Thanks, monsun
Laurence Strong Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 (edited) The eagle looks good to me. I don't know enough about the cocades to comment on them. Hope this helps Edited May 24, 2006 by Laurence Strong
Gordon Williamson Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 There is a theory that these celleon eagles with black highlighting threads, like mine shown below, are NCO and those all in gold yellow are officer. If this theory is correct, yours is the officer version. The cockade looks fine also. Here is mine, and also a pic of one being worn by an NCO with mixed insignia (metal cockade/oakleaves and bullion eagle) on his cap.
