Stogieman Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 .... so, no cheating with RR. Name these awards! ;>)
Stogieman Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 Interesting reverse. We see this stitching style occasionally, but not all that often.... somebody had very good eyes!
Steve K. Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I'm alittle "in the dark" about Jubilee commemoratives, so I need some education........1) Weren't they given only to those native to that particular "state"? So this ribbon bar would be a Badener that received the EKII and a Hessian medal?? Or maybe I'm completely off base...2)What exactly do they commemorate? Thanks for any help in understanding these medals....Steve
Stogieman Posted July 2, 2006 Author Posted July 2, 2006 Hi Steve, while I believe that the bulk of the jubilee type medals from the various states were handed out to natives..... I also believe these fell into the "I was there for the party" category!
saschaw Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 Nice bar, Rick - still your's?They used to belong together but were split off while sold on Ebay.
Stogieman Posted August 29, 2006 Author Posted August 29, 2006 Hi Saschaw, yes.. sitting on my desk here somewhere.... PM me.
saschaw Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Hi Saschaw, yes.. sitting on my desk here somewhere.... PM me.Unfortunally, no need for PM: I don't have the chain, just the picture of it ...
Ulsterman Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I have a picture somewhere of a Major DL in a Baden artillery battery-with this combination of awards (except for the KVK-which was likely for home service).Nice group!
