Laurence Strong Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Besides an addiction to Luftwaffe collar tabs and shoulder boards, I also have a big interest in Heer items, I am interested to see what others consider "their' favorite. Here's a couple of my favorites. First a set of shoulder boards for a Leutnant der Reserve for Gebirgsjager Regt 100
Laurence Strong Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 I also like this mint set of Medical Officers collar tabs. Please feel free to post your favorites
Laurence Strong Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 (edited) Another favorite collar tabs is this bullion High Grade Administration Officer with Orange nebenfabre, I got this on e-bay for 5 bucks Edited July 12, 2006 by Laurence Strong
Guest Rick Research Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I've never seen a recruiting department Beamter tab before! My one and only (and it is, alas, ONLY one) is General der Infanterie "with the Uniform of Infantry Regiment 12" as worn from 30 September 1931 to 30 June 1942 by Pour le Merite/German Cross in Silver winner Rudolf Schniewindt (1875-1954):[attachmentid=46673]Closeup up of the complicated weave to the bullion:[attachmentid=46674]
Laurence Strong Posted July 12, 2006 Author Posted July 12, 2006 Hi RickThanks for that Well at least you have a beautiful example of a board
Paul R Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Great items everyone. Unfortunately, I do not have any nice Heer boards to share! Congrats on that Lucky tab. It could have easily sold for more than ten times what you paid! Awesome bargain!Rick,Your board leaves me speachless! You have such treasures in your cave!
Laurence Strong Posted July 20, 2006 Author Posted July 20, 2006 Hi PaulI agree with you, that's one gorgeous shoulder board Rick posted. For those that think that only buckram can back a collar board, here's some cardboard, to help show what a cottage industry collar tabs were.
ar41 Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Here is a set of NCO Heer tropical I like. I don't think the slip-on ciphers are original to the set and were added at a later date, but this is the way I got them.
Laurence Strong Posted August 14, 2006 Author Posted August 14, 2006 Hi ar41Thanks for your contribution
Paul R Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 Nice boards. These are the first recon tropical boards I have seen.Chris,Great selection of Chaplain tabs. Do you have any of the KM versions?
Laurence Strong Posted October 7, 2006 Author Posted October 7, 2006 Hi ChrisThanks for those love the Chaplain tabs
Mark Gibson Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Hello,This is actually my first post on this forum, although I have been here a while.I thought that I would post one of my favourite pairs of shoulderboards, a set of early tropical panzer grenadier boards for an enlisted man. These are the early ones used in North Africa as can be seen by the brown wool backing on the boards. They have seen quite a bit of wear and are very faded. These actually came on a nicely faded tan tunic complete with 'AFRIKAKORPS' cufftitle.I hope you like them.Mark
Mark Gibson Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 And here is the reverse showing the brown wool backing.
Chris Liontas Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 (edited) Thank you for the comments guys. Paul, these are all the navy tabs I have. The early version are still attached to the Probe Tag as is the wreath Edited October 10, 2006 by Chris Liontas
