Guest Rick Research Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Last find at today's show was a M1944 (issued 1945-53) Communist Youth membership pin made at the "Victory" factory (right). The other manufacturer of this short-lived pattern was the Tscherbinsky Factory of Metallic Notions (!)-- on left maker marked "Tsch Z"Note the much more translucent "strawberry" enamel of the trinkets-shop made badge, and much finer detail of star rays.No clue why the "KIM" monogrammed model of 1922-44 turns up so rarely. Most commonly found are the "Lenin Head" version of 1953-91. The M1944 should be the rarest, with only 8 1/2 years in use. Here is a photo attested 15 January 1955 showing air force engineer Technical Lieutenant Ivan Baznyak wearing the outdated M1944 Komsomol badge:
Sergey Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Very often people having identical clothes, the identical house, identical age try as that will distinguish from contempoparies. Probably it is such example
