Dave Danner Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 A mix of awards. The guy on the right is Sergei Suslin (Сергей Суслин) of 186th Spetsnaz.
Dave Danner Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Spetsnaz veterans' pictures are from the albums on Dmitri Reznikov's site here: http://www.reznik.pri.ee/section.php?dsid=13The content is all in Russian, but the site is well worth a visit. These images are but the tiniest of samples of what can be seen there of the daily life of Soviet soldiers.
Guest Rick Research Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Three MORE wound stripes! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?s=&showtop...st&p=120972So when did these get RE-introduced, given how few WW2 veterans seem to have kept on wearing theirs? The newer versions seem smaller. Made out of that "rubberized" material, like enlisted ranks shoulder branch insignia?
Christian Zulus Posted November 7, 2006 Posted November 7, 2006 Gentlemen,at Suslin's photograph we can see the CORRECT ribbon of an Afghanistan "Order of Glory" .Best regardsChristian ZulusA mix of awards. The guy on the right is Sergei Suslin (Сергей Суслин) of 186th Spetsnaz.
