    1. Here a knight cross military division. I only saw a few of this kind of cross made as some L?gion d'honneurs with the leaves worked out.
    2. This medal is created 7/4/1919 given for merit to belgian and non-belgian who during the war did humanitary work to help the poor belgians. When the ribon has only one belgian flag in his ribbon than it is given for charity work When the ribbon has 2 balgian flags (like this one) it has been given for logistiek work to occupied belgium the 31/12/1930 the same medal with a bleu ribbon with a horisontal belgian flag is created for the political prisonner 1914-1918 See picture
    3. Dear Jef There are no marks in them, even in the first crosses made in 1832 some time you find the monogram with I in the middle, what is sure is that those with a II are made by Heremans, periode of Leopold II, at the periode of King Albert I we find some time back a I in the Monogram.

    8. I agree with Hendrik When you take the discriptions of Quinot and Born? they say "la t?te d'un militaire casqu?, de profil ? gauche, avec haut col et partie d'epaulette. Le casque porte une guirlande de feuilles de laurier." If we want be sure, we have to look the publication in the "Moniteur Belge" from 21-23/9/1919

The best you can do is to use a database, you can make it your self see www.filemaker.com whith this database programme you can make containerfields where you can store images, and files like PDF. It is a very strong tool, it is even crossplatform and can be used on a Mac computer (Apple) or a PC. Some museums are working with this tool to manage their collections see The succes story sorry that it is in dutch, but the Royal Army Museum is ussing this tool for different databases.
