Here we have my collection of DDR awards in no particular order , i will add to this as i get more . Medal for Long Service in Fighting Groups of Working Class 10 , 15 , 20 & 25 years .

This is the last post i,ll put on here . i,m going to start a thread on the collections section to show my collection , any more awards i get i,ll post individually on the DDR forum . Got these this morning , silver and bronze kampfgrupe bester badges .

Hello Scott , Welcome to the forum ! I,m not a uniform nut i concentrate on medals and awards but i got a great welcome into the DDR fold , the other collectors on here are very helpful and knowledgable and a great asset to this forum on the DDR . I was the same i collected 3rd reich awards got fed up with the high prices and fakes so i took a side step into 1957 awards which i collected for a few years but they have begun to shoot up and i had to sell my collection for a new motorcycle , i wanted to collect again but on a low budget so East German is ideal at the moment . Looking forward to seeing your new uniforms on here . Cheers

Thanks for the picture and explaination Uwe , i understand them now . I have the 3 and 5 so i need the 1,2 and 4 to get the basic group. Thanks Vic , can't wait till we get those goodies off Dan !

I,ve seen the numbered ones go up to 10 in the roman numerals apparently these were the earlier ones bronze and silver 1-10 but then they changed to a simpler bronze , silver gold . As for the clasp i had to fight for it but i do know that the navy stuff is scarce so i rolled with it . Don't know what the 3 flags badge is for i,m just waiting for my Guru Gordon to enlighten me !!
