    1. Hello Humberto, ang. = Angestellter That means he was a civilian "employee" - perhaps in the bureau or some kind of technician. greetings eitze
    2. Hi Dave, very nice pieces Two for you and two for me - that make 4 less for the open market greetings eitze
    3. Hi Mike, today I went to Goethestr. with my digicam, but unfortunately No. 4 and 4 a is a big red double house with a couple of flats It looks like a house built in the 1970. Further I checked the register for this new house, but there was no "Stein" ever lived inside. Also a ckeck for the name "Paul Stein" in the resident register was negative. Unfortunately the name "Stein" (= stone) is common. If you wish I could send a note to the archive register, to get the date of his death. But this could last some days. greetings eitze
    4. Hi Mike, the world is a small place I am from Recklinghausen and so it is nice to see this group from a former citizen of my hometown His old flat at Goethestreet 4 is a parallel street of my office. Tomorrow I`ll see if the old house is still standing or if it was destroyed during the bombing in WW2! greetings eitze
    5. Yes - the man on his side is the Croatian Fieldmarschall Slavko Kvaternik. Here you can find more info and pictures: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=10785&hl=croatia greetings eitze
    6. Thank you 922F and especially Megan for the info Unfortunately there are no news for the decorations on the mentioned homepage. But it is nice to hear, that there is a star to the Grand Cross. I`ve never seen such an example. These so called "International Orders" are often offered on auction and they realized good prices. I`ve paid nearly 700 Euro for the whole set ten years ago. I know it is only gilded bronze and the production costs in Italy are far below, but it was a unique opportunity to get a nearly complete set of this order ! If anybody has a picture of the Grand Crosss STAR it would be nice, if you could show it here. greetings eitze
    7. That is clear to me But who is the man / organisation / circle, etc. behind the order ?????????????????? greetings eitze
    8. Let`s start. The crosses are are black/white enameled and the ribbon is black. DONAT OF DEVOTION - 1. and 2. class
    9. Dear Fellows, I wanna show you my collection of the "International Order of the Militia of Jesus Christ". In the past I got one or two pieces of the upper classes, but eleven years ago I was able to buy a whole lot of this order. After trying to get information about the order and the failure of this search, I put all the pieces in a box and nearly forgot about it Please look at the photos and perhaps someone has any information for me: - Country of origin ? - who`s behind the order ? - who`s the manufactor of the insignias ? - is it still awarded / by whom ? - is there a breast star for the Grand Cross ? greetings eitze
    10. Hi Greakly, I am sorry, but I have nether heard about a book of all recipients of this medal. But perhaps there is something old on the antique market, but I don`t think so. The Crown Order Medal was such a minor decoration, that there was no need for such a source. It will be the best to ask one of the Prussian experts here around. greetings eitze
    11. Deutsch-Neuguinea 1913/14: The bar was awarded for the Neumecklenburg-Expedition, which took place 14.12.1913 - 21.03.1914. I think it was some sort of pacification campaign against rebellious natives. My source lists this bar only awarded to Police units ??? But perhaps he was on the ship which transported them to a coast or somewhere else? greetings eitze
    12. Hello Igor, I am sorry but I`ve already delete all the scans from my PC. Beside this, the scans where in the same size as shown here. It is only a small book. Military Merit Crosses: it might be of interest for you that there is a book about all recipients of the GMVK. It is called: Das preussische Goldene Milit?r-Verdienstkreuz Quellen und Darstellung zur Geschichte der Orden und Ehrenzeichen, Band 2 Herausgeber MILITARIA-Archiv Klaus D. Patzwall, 1986 Perhaps you`ll also find the names of the mentioned Russian soldiers. And I am sorry, but I don`t have a copy of this. greetings eitze
    13. Will there be a posthumous decoration for this act of bravery ??? greetings eitze
    14. Rick, but it is nice, that Waldeck isn`t forgotten And perhaps Daniel will publish his revised Roth list this year! greetings eitze
