    2. This Sudan medal to an Egyptian Infantryman, bought in the old Bazaar in Cairo... and probably never cleaned.... I love the tarnish, would never clean it.
    3. Indeed... a "wearer`s copy" is carte blanche for a lead sinker maker ....
    4. Thats a steal !!!! but from those photos the medal looks cast !!!!
    5. I have a 100% medal spending stop at the moment.... But on Ebay there is a QSA to a man invalided out after a serious wound to his left arm at the fighting at Pietershoogte (Hart's hill)... I have a Boer ABO to a boer who was invalided out for a serious wound to his right arm on Pietershoogte... I am almost forced to buy the QSA :-(((((((( I guess the QSA is overpriced, so i guess I should not.....
    6. I would imagine that the regular salvage units would have collected the signals stuff, it would have been a luxury to have a special signals salvage unit. I would guess it is along the "park" or dump line.
    7. Has the same catch as WW1 American and "Mills" is well known as a US maker.
    8. I found one today where the guy was locked up for 3 days... but cannot figure out the rest... :-(
    9. My Iron Cross document collection has a small corner for "odd" units... this is one of those... an EK and wound badge to a man in " Sammelabteilung f?r Nachrichtenger?t 4" that is pretty "out there" when it comes to obscure units.....
    10. I must admit, this is one of those examples of why Ebay is just super . It would take a lifetime of looking through catalogs, junk shops..whatever, to find these obscure items. This little lot come from sellers in Germany, New Zealand, England, Australia and believe it or not ... Brazil !!! It would otherwise have been impossible to collect them together....
    11. One of the worlds greatest "simple man" generals. Botha was a simple farmer who rose to Gemeral, and then Prime Minister. Not highly educated, but a man with gret feeling, intelligence and mounds of common sense. This small collection of Postcards, Ciggie cards and silks are chance buys over ebay. ist off a glass slide for amagic lantern.
    12. I Emailed the seller and he mailed me back that he would pull it. A man of honour! All the best Chris
    13. Can somone post the Iron time one? The east African one I have seen twice on Ebay... bought it once myself and returned it...
    14. The ibove is fantasy East Africa..
