    1. Very nice! All th ebest Chris
    2. Hi, thats ditto for all 4 then. Which is good, means there are no "Variations" out there ;-)
    3. Hi Andreas, Super!! I have this style to the bavarian 2nd, Saxon 50th and Prussian 31st MGSSA. I still need Württemberg if it exists. The MGSSA had their own association and Newspaper during the war, i assume the units could order the documents over the association. Best Chris
    4. Hi, it is not possible to identify the unit unfortunately :-(
    5. Hi, the blanks are modern copies and sold as such, then filled out and aged.
    6. Hi, has anyone seen this before? Thanks Chris
    7. ooooooooohhhhh.... that is indeed fantastic!! Those canvasses are world class! You may want to consider doing something to block or dim the direct sunlight though!
    8. I wonder what a FSP. ERS. ABT. is? Any possible future buyer of the Hertzberg tag will find this thread on google ;-)
    9. Hi Andreas, I think the Verwandt site has picked up a querschläger, I don't find a real Person with the name in Germany. There is a florist, a bed and breakfast, an oldage home, all using the Blumenhain as 2Flower grove"... but no telefone number for a Person ? :-(
    10. Even there the Blumenhain refered to is the name of a flower shop..., so no living people named Blumenhain anywhere. I have an EK Document to a Kriegsfreiwilliger Blumenhain, no first name. a Berthold Blumenhain from Berlin was wounded in 1918, and deported and murdered in 1941. The document is III A.K., from Berlin. Ancestry shown a single Blumenhain family in Berlin, the father born about 1859, dying 1905. I am going to go out on a limb here and say my document is probably to Berthold Blumenhain.
    11. I find a single German soldier named Blumenhain anywhere on ancestry or the list of soldiers killed and wounded... Berthold Blumenhain. He was also apparently deported in WW2 as a Jew and killed hear Riga.
    12. I have a document to Kriegsfreiwillige Blumenhain ... The name is extremely difficult to locate or find the origins of.... in ancestry there is a single person named Blumenhain.... I do not have a first name... Does anyone have an idea about the origin of the name? Thanks Chris
    13. Hi, thanks for the links. It is of course just a few of the names, not to be used as a roll. Best Chris
    14. Hi Guys, thanks, he only recieved the EK2 but was killed in September 14. It does however mean that there was a part 2 going to "Z"... just that it has not been found yet?
    15. Hi, I read that there is an alpahbetical list of EK awards made up until December 1914... does anyone have access to this? I am trying to find confirmation of an award to Hauptmann Erich Schultze Any help would be greatly appretiated! Thanks Chris

    17. Hi, for the EK, other than that the blanks are for sale, this ugly typing and regimental stamp has been used for fakes of other docs for a few years now. The terrible writing on the wound badge is the same illegible scrawl as was used on the fake colonial docs some years ago. here is one with fake cross... http://www.ebay.de/itm/Orden-Eisernes-Kreuz-1-Klasse-1914-mit-Nadel-und-Besitzzeugnis-Top-Anfertigung-/191780961418?hash=item2ca7093c8a:g:igkAAOSwaA5WlPRc

    20. Hi, does anyone have a photo of Generalleutnant von pappritz, strangely non to find online, just one super tiny one.
    21. The walt fisherman or pilot? :-)
    22. Hi, Here is an unpopular thought.... subjectively we dislike these people, but objectively, what makes a Military WALT worse than any other, other than being tasteless.? Sure, we see them as people encroaching on our turf, but as long as they are not getting illegal gains, where do we draw the lines? A guy telling BS stories about the world record biggest fish he has caught and having beers bought for him as he tells them. A guy in a bar telling women he is an airline pilot to get them into bed. there are walts in all walks of life, I would go as far as to say, there were probably just as many military Walts, if not more back in the old days. I have heard some super BS from WW2 vets. I find them more pityfull than anythig else. best Chris
