    1. Hi, I saw those docs at a show a number of years ago, a french dealer had just bought them, but they were not for sale... i guess he had someone in mind.....
    2. Another question... I seem to remember Chip saying the laschen were introduced around 1916? so they are very unlikely to be pre war?
    3. Each one is a step forward.. Includes more and new "stuff" and information.... The older books are really essential works as they set the foundations... but if you use the Bowen book as example, ground breaking and fantastic as it was for its time... the Wernitz book leaves Bowen behind, a collectors item, but maybe no longer "needed" as far as EK research goes. That is absolutely not a negative reflection on Bowen... he was the Wright Brothers of his time... Wernitz may be the F-18 Fighter plane... without the Wright Brothers there would not have been a F-18... Best Chris
    4. Hi, 2 Different men, one from 7th Company, I cannot remember which company for the other, i have his stuff somewhere...
    5. Hi, unfortunately the awards docs were missing, and the firt 2 years of letters, but an OK group all in all... Best Chrs
    6. So.... I have not been able to find the blue boards. The Reichswehr had different ones... Abouth the only solution i can find is that these are probably bavarian between the end of the war and the founding of the reichswehr? Maybe even just on regimental level? best Chris
    7. I have a "thing" for the 12th Bavarian Infantry Regiment, so I was happy to get this group... after 4 hours wondering around a show, I found it in the last 15 minutes....
    8. Here you go... EK2 backwards... then later on the bar, the Servive medal backwards...
    9. 2 Bars to NCOs of the 12th Bavarian Infantry Regt. I am thinking the Blue Shoulder boards were late Bavarian Army, He was in the Abwicklungs Stelle of the 12th Regt until 1920... the colors correspond with early Reichswehr....
    10. The Blue on the straps seem to correspond with the blue on the sleeve rings for the 1919 army... http://antique-photos.com/en/unidatabase/weimar-republic/69-2012-01-23-06-36-18.html
    11. As the Blue Bavarian 12 regt Straps were red with a yellow 12... could this be post war... he seems to have served in the Abwicklungs stelle of the 12th regt into late 1920.....
    12. I can see why he is happy to accept returns without questions asked if the buyer dont like.... he gets a USD50 restocking fee on each return.
    13. Am i righ in thinking this is for the bayonet of a Prussian NCO? If so... from which rank? how are they put on? Thanks >Chris
    14. I have a small collection of 12th bavarian infantry stuff, so was happy to get this small selection today....
