    1. Thank you very much for sharing. Nice legit document.
    2. Medal is in really good condition with original ribbon and well preserved enamel in letters CCCP.
    3. As a person who has been seen real Soviet veterans in 70th and 80th (both my grandfathers were WWII veterans as well) I can tell that miniature awards were not used among Soviet veterans. They were wearing either real awards on memorial holidays and special events or were using ribbons.
    4. I have not seen any fake Badge of Honor orders of late variations. They are very abundant and hundreds of them available at really cheap price on EBay and other auctions.
    5. I want to show the medal from my collection. Unfortunately, it came without document, but I was able to find the recipient's name - Kudryavtsev Petr Pavlovich, Medical officer of Baltic Fleet Naval Air regiment.
    6. Thank you Alfred. I have his document.
    7. Thank you very much for sharing award cards of Hazov and Travin. Here is another document of Travin for his early Military Merit medal awarded for his actions during Soviet-Finnish War. Few more documents for this beautiful medal...
    8. Thanks a lot, but this is a different medal. It is not XX years of Red Army, but Partizan medal document.
    9. This Glory is a 3rd class with fake gold plating of the central medallion. Here is a close number on the other 3rd class glory and you can see the similarity in handwriting pattern. This is a real 2nf class Glory from the same number range. Check how different it is.
    10. Very interesting piece of history. According to Soviet archives Major Filippov was a head of separate NKVD borderguard unit of the South-Western front and he was lost in action in 1942. Most likely was killed and his awards got in possession of German officer.
    11. Hi Alfred, Thanks a lot for sharing those images with me and other gentlemen! Two of those I have had in my database before, but they were made in different time, here they are. However image of female's document is a real treasure! Congratulations on having this gem in your collection! Actually, documents to female recipients are very rare. The number of female recipients is small, less than a hundred were awarded to ladies. And only about a dozen documents I have seen so far. One of them I showed in the first post (number 40). Here is another female document.
    12. Labor medal is very primitive fake. Military Merit looks fine to me. Here is close number medal (disregard incorrect suspension) with similar handwriting in serial number.
    13. The only problem with this order - is a screwpost base. Orders with this serial number range SHOULD NOT have screwpost base. Compare the numbers in this range.
    14. Dear fellow collectors and military history enthusiasts, For several years I am trying to create a database of the recipients of XX years of RKKA medal. This award is very unique not only because it was the very first Soviet medal established, but also because relatively low number of recipients - little over 37.000. Many of them were killed during WWII, some of them were eliminated by Stalin's repressions and good number of them made it to the highest military ranks - Generals and Marshals. Up to this moment I have around 19200 names of the recipients with corresponding medal numbers. I have big database of documents including app 1150 images of medal books and over a thousand of Award Cards with numbers. Most of the images from Russian content internet are already in my database. However few hundreds documents were sold in Western market and I only have a couple of dozens of their images. If you guys have in your possession any images of this medal documents, I would greatly appreciate if you can share them with me by displaying them in this topic or by emailing them to me. I would like to post some of the images of this amazing document and hope you will add more. Thanks in advance.
    15. Here is an award card and citation for this Red Banner. Name: Ivan Matveevich Dagilis Rank: Batallion Comissar (political officer rank equal to Captain) Position: Political assistant officer of the 1st Battalion commander, 20th Tank Regiment, 10th Tank Division, South-Eastern Front. Comrade Dagilis was a tank commander during the enemy lines attack on June 23, 1941 near the town of Radzehuv. Leading the attack forces with his tank he penetrated inside enemy tanks formation and managed to set on fire 2 enemy tanks. German troops concentrated intense artillery fire on his tank, so his tank got around 40 direct hits of armor piercing shells. His main gun, machine gun and tracks were damaged, both periscopes were destroyed and tank was set on fire. Only after that comrade Dagilis retreated and saved his crew. For this action commander of 10th Tank Division General Ogurtsov recommended Dagilis for Red Banner award Commander of South-Eastern Front awarded Dagilis with Red Banner on November 5, 1941. As you can see from his award card, Dagilis survived the war and finished it with the rank of Guards Colonel and in position of the Commander of 360th Self-Propelled Artillery Regiment. He was awarded with 3 Red Banners and OGPW 1st class.
    16. Hello Gentlemen, Today I want to share with you an interesting Red Banner awarded to brave and courageous political officer.

I can offer you those numbers to trade, let me know which ones you need - 387, 388, 399, 400, 415, 418, 420, 421, 429, 443, 451. 18. I have images of Travin's Red Banner since 2010. Here they are...
    19. Thank you very much. This is what I am looking for. Unfortunately order number is not indicated in this card. This is an early type of award card. Some of them don't have award's number (like yours), but some do have it written on the second page like this... And by the way, General Travin did have another award card with all his awards listed except for this Kutuzov.
    20. Hello guys, I am trying to make a database on 2nd and 3rd class top orders (Suvorov, Kutuzov, Khmelnitsky). If anyone has award cards for any of those awards I can trade them with you. Sincerely, Andrew Kuznetsov
    21. Christian, my congratulations with those amazing documents. So, the truth finally came out. I'm really happy that former Soviet archives helped you to prove the authenticity of Gnitienko's full Glory set. Now even the most sceptical members of the forum should agree that this group is OK
    22. Excellent story, thanks. It's a very lucky event to find an early Red Star to a woman. However, she was in a rank of Major, not Jr. Lieutenant. For Jr. Lieutenant it would be "voyenfeldsher 3rd class" (военфельдшер 3-го ранга).
    23. During Chernobyl's disaster I lived in Kiev which is only 100 miles away from the nuclear power plant. I remember lots of interesting things happened that spring. For example all buses disappeared from Kiev for three days. As I found out later, they were used to evacuate the entire population of Chernobyl, Pripyat and other smaller towns around the power station. Later those buses returned to regular city lines after short deactivation procedures (just washed them with water).
