    1. HI Streptile, I think it is more likely a MIniature for chain or button piece (the last I can fix easier I have few silver buttons on dispose), because it is double sided with typical pearl beading as Godet one It can be easier converted to normal Minature with additional silver ribbon ring, however i prefer to keep it this way for the moment. 2. HI, I agree with you I might be wrong. For this amount of money i recently got this nice set in an extremly rare box The box is smaller then the standard ones and it is dark brown not black or green Also it has the maker printed inside. Graf

    4. HI New World. Then Opinion No3 - Soldier Cross 4th Class privately made by jeweller after WW1 period remains most likely one..........unless proved otherwise Graf
    5. Hi New World 1. The very first Prince Alexander Model 1880-1886 of the Soldiers Cross 3-4 th Class Similar cross features in Uwe Bretzendorfer Preiskatalog from 2007 ,however the size given is 35 x 35 mm and it looks finer and it is one piece construction with smooth arms Does anyone have Prof. Pavlov book. - is similar cross included in the book? Graf
    6. Hi New World, Your arguments sound quite convincing. I listed all these opinions, which i gathered out of the forum. The most valuable, in my opinion, is No 3 - Soldier Cross 4th Class privately made by jeweller after WW1 period It cannot be Original Awarded one, since the size of them was 34-35 mm This one is 38 mm As I mentioned in Uwe Bretzendorfer Preiskatalog (2007) similar cross is listed on page 12 - Size 35 mm (picture) I do not have Prof Pavlov book, however in none of the other books such cross is mentioned. 17. Hi, I found more information regarding this Order It is Size 38 x 38 mm W. 14,4 g There are several opinions 1. The very first Prince Alexander Model 1880-1886 of the Soldiers Cross 3-4 th Class Similar cross features in Uwe Bretzendorfer Preiskatalog from 2007 ,however the size given is 35 x 35 mm and it looks finer and it is one piece construction 2. Officer 4-th Class without the ename- either lost or not yet added to the Cross ( the Cross is in a "raw" stage) 3, Soldier Cross 4th Class privately made by jeweler after WW1 period 4. None of the above -Fantasy Order Regards Graf

    20. Hi, I just found pictures of this unusual Sodiers Cross 3-4 Class It has multiparts removable central medalions and the swords are the same as the Officers Class Opinion wanted. Regards Graf
    21. Hi New World, Yes I agree with you regarding the Orders withouth crown or wreath. There are few pieces out there in private collections and come from time to time on the market. However, I slightly desagree that they are not official pieces, just they did not have the wreath at the time of awarding. There is anecdotal information that few high Classess pieces without wreath form all Bulgarian Orders were awarded to Soviet Union Generals. Anyway thy do exxist and we only can speculate. ..Only the awarded persons can tell us the true story...if they can recollect it (just a joke) Regards Graf
    22. Hi, I will not argue with sascaw, since he is much more knowledgeble than me and he have handled much bigger number of EKs I tried to zoom even more in order to see the inner rim of the frames --yes they look as WW1 made.. finer then WW2 period made It would be nice if you provide a closer view I agree that WW1 EKs can be any size from 41 to 44 mm Is any mark on the ring..the pictures are not quite good Regards Graf
    23. Hi. Nothing wrong with the cross It appears it is WW2 period made copy of WW1 EK2 They used the WW2 parts and frames -44 x 44 mm If you have WW2 EK2 by hand you can compare both Eks and you wii find that the franes are similar I will not be surprised if the core is non iron one and deos not attract magnet These EKs are much more rare then the ones made by millions during WW1 period They also command better price Regards Graf
