I have been looking the existing literature and I still have not found a reference that the Order with Crown with pendalia and swords above the cross existed in higher then the 3rd Class That brings me to the question whether The existing literature is complete or this 2nd class from a private collection is a "fantasy' one

I agree If you a serious collector in some field and you want to have single pieces from other areas or countries if I am you I will buy good quality. The price difference is not much but the feeling when holding the item in your hands will be different Regards

Hi This Cross is from WW1 period and because they were produced in huge numbers it is difficult to trace the awarded person unless there is a significant evidence and provenance Be careful when a seller tell you some "heroic" stories to attract your attention . Those crosses were not very expensive and with a bit of search you can buy ,as i said earlier, a better quality one Regards
