    1. I am sorry to read of the theft. I hope no one was harmed. I wish for a safe return of the items and a fitting end to the thiefs. --dj--Joe
    2. Reverse. --dj--Joe Some added info. The badge measures 23mm. and is magnetic, the pin is not and I doubt the pin retaining plate is but I can not tell. The detail is present beneath the enamel, scanner did not pick it up.
    3. Latest find, silver, small size. Robert shows an example on post #21. Obverse. --dj--Joe
    4. Both original but very common tinnies. Someone collecting by maker marks might be interested. Otherwise in my opinion a hard sell. --dj--Joe
    5. I appreciate seeing everything that has been shown. Thank you all. --dj--Joe
    6. It is a recognized mark (has been observed on other dress bayonets), but to my knowledge the maker remains unknown. --dj--Joe
    7. Thanks Don. In these so many years of collecting this is the first Tirol example that has surfaced localy to my knowledge. Should my funds improve I may have to actively search out a couple of enameled examples. --dj--Joe
    8. Postschutz buckles are indeed one of the more interesting designs of N.S. period buckles. But last time I checked they cost both an arm and a leg to purchase. --dj--Joe
    9. Through a trade deal, I have acquired my first example. Allow me to get my loop. It's that small I can not read the writing on the front. Meistersch?tze 1943. Non magnetic zinc/alloy base metal. Brass pin and pin plate. Obverse, Reverse, --dj--Joe
    10. Thought to bump this thread in the hopes some new items have been collected. --dj--Joe
    11. That's a nice assemblage of buckles. The Gold DAF must have been a tough one to find. --dj--Joe
    12. Wood, that last one is a beaut. What is the center piece made of? Please. --dj--Joe
    13. Appears to me to be an orig. aluminum badge / tinnie. --dj--Joe
    14. Latest addition. http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_06_2008/post-1276-1214676294.jpghttp://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_06_2008/post-1276-1214676277.jpg --dj--Joe
    15. Good detective work. Fortunate that they were still in business and replied. --dj--Joe
    16. I note this did not receive much comment. Was it common for two Faithfull Service cross's to be worn together? I had read that only the highest would be worn, in this case the 40 yr. But I have seen many instances of nonconforming bars and strange sequence of awards. Has it been noted before that more than one was worn? I looked about but have not seen other examples. --dj--Joe
