    1. Badge on a greatcoat and a dinner menu from Arnold's albums celebrating the Kaisers birthday. Eric
    2. Clear picture showing the badge from two albums of the 21MGSs I just acquired. Eric
    3. I think they are boot 'tighteners' to stop their feet slipping inside the boot. You see them a lot in Infantry soldier photos especially 1914-15 maybe not. Eric
    4. Maybe they went to the left after gunners put it on the left of stahlhelme. Don I got something neat a couple of weeks ago MGSs related I'll take pics this weekend. Eric
    5. Waist length 42 Breast size 96 (body length 86) collar width 45 (sleeve length 64) Eric
    6. Hi Paul I'll ask him. may call him up he was 'lucky' got wounded during the retreat early '45. Eric
    7. Chinstrap is a copy, Chris I'm not an expert they did make a one press piece (see kraus) but this one has separate stitched on visors? It's funky, I wouldn't buy it without asking Karel first. btw those circular ink stamps are faked, I have one on my Haube copy from over 30yrs ago. Eric
    8. I managed to spend some moments with my friend Gus couple of weeks ago. Gus fought on the Eastern Front with the Hermann Göring Division as a MG42 gunner. He's a wonderful old boy 91yrs young. He was kind enough to give me a couple of photos one is while on leave April '44 with his family. Cheers
    9. Thanks Gents I put my gig uniform on him it's all reproduction apart from the haube cover (I like them others may not) Chris the saxon boots I already showed in another thread, friends still give me hell for selling those btw oh well. CCJ no mustache! actually I think he looks like Bruce Willis Eric
    10. Thanks Gents Les I hope you had a good time at the gig, I did in part but I'm getting old,,,finally. Cheers
    11. At a guess I'd say it's for mounted troops, I've seen those double buckle jobs before but can't remember for what. I once had a German Africa tunic and trousers but could never find the rest of the gear to build up a mannequin, so let it go. It's a tough collecting area imo. I love the belts shown, they are in wonderful condition. Eric
    12. Looks like a nice one Jock if i remember correctly all beaded helms are classed none combat. Eric
    13. I think that top front button pattern is post W1 on the first garment. Commercial, used a lot by the Germans and English. Chris is that the remains of a hood? reminds me of the pre'1900? German mantel. I like it send to me Eric
    14. Chip your example is killer thanks for showing. There was one on an ebay a few years ago didn't I show it on waf? I was outbid DK got the blighter I think. Eric
    15. Nice field 'shop' camo Chris does it have a steel band liner? Eric
    16. Chris similar pack and equipment http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/equipment-field-gear/norwegian-pre-war-military-equipment-188159/ Eric
    17. The Waffen, as said is junk, the liner isn't even German. You used to be able to check decals with a uv light, some new collectors may not know gents. Stig the initial German/ Chinese contract for a supply of M35's is well documented and their use post W2 on the net. Eric
    18. I like 42's as well, all beat up real grunt jobs, nice Jock. Eric
