    1. I put the question of matching gun & sled to a chum he sent me these photos of a relic 1917 dated gun also I've noticed an 08 heavy won't necessarily immediately fit another mount because of variations in the jacket trunnions on going... There is an interesting account of a gunner saying they soon as leave the mount in the rear lines and use trench mounts and collectors referring to "Somme" and "Verdun salient" mounts made it workshops as a way to id them, when they camoed must have been easy to pick out 'our sled' no two are exactly alike. Best Eric

    5. Hi Chris I think your right for jammed cases the ring stop on the shaft is important to stop from going to far and breaking the rifle ejection pawl, whats the length to the stop? Eric

    7. Hello Don Made back when we were very strict on authenticity for historical events, had backing plates but when they showed up the dealer did something to the rear so they couldn't be sold as original, two types this is one. I purchased two this is the only one I've left (m15 tunic) the other broke up on my m10 rolling around or snagged on wire Lol! Best Eric ps I didn't know you had THAT many holy smoke, beautiful.

    14. It was a nudge actually I tried to sell a couple of years ago but nobody wanted now its not for sale, I like all the repairs, things filthy had dirt in the pockets but haven't the heart to thoroughly clean it. Eric
    15. Chris You want to just make a logged walled pit for a mortar? An underground bunker is a LOT of work especially 4 room jobs, it nearly killed me the 'main room' oak roof beams each weighted 250-300lb the front door 200 for example. Best Eric
    16. Late war Bluse with Schlaufen Id'd to soldier 3rd company 8th Bayr Infantry Regiment and appears to be marked B.A.I 1917 but the right side of the stamp mark is faint. Strange area size marked I've not seen before on a Tunic.
    17. The other end of the spectrum actually I think Chip is secretly in love with it hah!
