    1. Thank you Rogi. This is the article I wrote for the Zeughaus more than 10 years ago. Now, I have submited to the same magazine article on the Serbian King Peter I as honorary chief of the 14th Olonecki IR, hopefuly it will be published this year.
    2. Thanks Paja. There are some more "never seen" things inside. Beside Serbia, book is available on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk http://www.amazon.com/Srbija-Rusija-Velikom-ratu-saveznistvo/dp/8650526160/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1421575117&sr=8-2&keywords=Dusan+Babac

    6. JapanX great pics. Please, if you come across photo of the Serbian Crown Prince Alexander in the uniform of 14th IR Olonecki, I would appreciate very much. I saw it 20 years ago, wearing the regimental gorget and St. Andrew sash, but never again ever after. I am missing this piece to finish my article on the Romanov - Karadjordjevic exhange of honorary commands over regiments in 1911 - 1912.
    7. Many thanks Nick, pics are great! I am enclosing the only one photo of king Peter I of Serbia wearing his regiment's badge.
    8. One nice example of the Tsarist Officer who proudly displayed his St. George after the WW2
    9. JapanX, you are absolutely right, thank you for the thread.
    10. As a matter of fact St. George cross was also worn by the officers who joined the Red Army. There were few very nice articles on the subject in the beautiful Russian magazine Zeughaus. I will find and post some of them when I dig them out in my archive.

    13. One interesting detail. Service side cap "pilotka" was introduced in 1914 only for the Imperial Russian airmen, black with red piping, and silver lace for officers. However, this type of cap won the fame with Red Army in WW2.
