    1. Thanks, guys ! Yes,next a 109.......... I see there're a few questions, Are those brown Hoffmann boots? Best, Sandro. No,Sandro, they're Croatian made, but Luftwaffe. Maker is Knebl & Ditrich. This firm also made flightjackets. And, from the looks of it, a pole for an emergency flag. Yes,but unfortunately this item was grounddug and it took me a week sparetime to "free" 5 of the 7 telescopic parts.. It's just a display item,as you say, impossible to find in good condition. I think every flight collector would want one. Rick, yes, the "little pieces".....,most of the time hard to find and in most cases the most expensive..!! Gerd,it's not a glider, although there's a cloth badge, but these kind of glidergulls can be found on all flightjackets...,pilot,observer,radio operator,gunner,.....and glider..,all could qualify for these. Paul, yes ,it's time for me to take some new pics next weekend.... The boots for Sandro.. Jos.
    2. Almost completed...,I've a few small wishes though...,but he can do without.. Mannequin came in yesterday,I always wanted a sitting one 'cause a heavy chute will ruin the swimmingvest at the end, they're quite heavy while hanging there.. 10 KG +.. He has a seat parachute, typical for fighter and underneath the chute at the back there's a bag that holds a one-man yellow lifeboat..,hard to see in this position, but it's there.. You can see a part of the bag just under his right arm..,the boat's still inside and in good condition. On the left arm there's a little " map"/"information" holder...,a non-textbook item, but genuine..,just like the flare gun holster and flare belt. Took me quite some time to find these items and to finish this display, but I'm happy with the result sofar,it's a very complete fighter this way. Jos.
    3. Wow,great stuff ! Some nice photo's too.. I also like the turtle,he might be still alive !! Jos.
    4. Well Frank, I find this particular one very interesting. I think it's a nice display item, but it has more IMO. There's less to find about this man other than a few books and some portrait pics. I personally like this painting a lot and wish I had it,also,it's very well done. One of the greatest fighters ! Unfortunately I don't have something like this to show. Regards, Jos.
    5. I agree, cutdown bombersuit..+ extra additional zipper, probably pocket ? Here's one I had and sold 2 weeks ago.. I didn't ask a lot, because there's a small public for these items. It went for 650 Euro, little loss of fur at the collar.. Mine had real fur, they also came in artifical fur, which lasted longer. I think maybe 750/800 for one in top condition will be enough. I followed that $ 2000 suit on Ebay where it was won for half that price, which reflects the prices I've mentioned. Jos.
    6. I've had the GWL airgunner for sale lately for quite a while..,which also is a rare badge. I've seen 3...4 maybe. Nobody wanted it then...,so,rare doesn't always mean something.. Jos.
    7. The new Ebay types, are they the 2nd type rigid frame goggles ? I haven't seen any 3rd type in cardboard box.. Jos.
    8. I think it's very hard to judge these boards and patches just by the material, odd gulls etc.. Era pics are showing very funny, odd and misshaped gulls, eagles etc.. I think it has more to do with comparing loads of bullion stuff, backings etc. I've learned that you can go easily wrong by not liking the pattern, shape etc.. In fact I like funny bullion cap and breast eagles. It's not a matter of black light and burntests,I hardly use these tools personaly, but studying many textbook items, but also the many variations etc.. Bullion stuff is difficult, there're 1000nds of variations, some delicate, some rude,messy,simple,odd,funny,weird.. It takes knowledge of material, the small coiled silver threads/wires etc.. Some are obvious, some are difficult, some are unbelievable.. I would not cast away the last Flak sets..,unless somebody is 100% sure they're fake. Jos.
    9. Yup,same one.. Rick, the items don't glow in the dark,as you say,a little (red) light will be needed.. Jos.
    10. I've no issues with the breast eagle also.. The para might be good, weaving is tight and backing is felt, good signs for a late example.. Let's wait for the pics. Nice group of badges sofar. Jos.
