    1. I'm aware and I agree that many tropical cloth badges are probably fake. However, the ones Warlord posted do show the right features and weaving. I'm not asking myself whether these badges existed,I just go for what I see. Then, the pic I posted made me more convinced. From now,I'd give trop.cloth badges the benefit of the doubt and see them in a different light. Never say never,I've found many things in pics the last few years and my mind is getting more open every time. This means I don't believe everything unless I'm convinced. My main goal is to find my way through all fakes and stuff. It's more complicated than we might guess, but every little thing we find might help a lot of people. I'm just working in a narrow field, namely common flight stuff, but it's rather complex when it comes to extraodinary items and the common items are faked in large amounts already only just the last few years. Flight stuff wasn't that interesting in the past, but now we see fakers have changed their minds and the market is flooded...and sold by the dozen 'cause people never invested in learning about a common pair of rubber goggles..so,they buy them.. It all starts like this. Luckily we can follow them them in this late stage and see what they come up with next time. Anyway.... Jos.
    2. Well, maybe this one might have a chance. Jacket doesn't look very bleached, cloth of the badge isn't the pronounced blue IMO. I missed out on this pic, some US guy grabbed it. So,no better scan....,pity. Jos.
    3. Hi guys, Glad to know,Gordon.. I already had some kind of feeling about the pics. I'll give him the news, thanks. And Simon, My friend could buy one of those postwar ribbons for 50 Euro.. He was thinking of one as a "filler",but now I know they didn't exist these ribbons aren't fillers but some kind of fantasy items,no ? So,Bismarck members wore the "Kriegsmarine" ribbons on their cap..!? Interesting pic ! Jos.
    4. Hi Bob, Hard to say.. But let's say the last 10 years. Before that I was constantly changing and I've sold my entire collection twice and started all over again.. All and all I've 30 years experience so to say,but maybe a 13 years "new" collection.. Times are getting rough and it's not hard to locate the good stuff, but the prices are killing me..and everybody else IMO.. I had to adjust my want list many times lately, but in a way I still can find some items.. The fun factor is dropping though, but we all know that,no ? Jos.
    5. Luft is my field,so,maybe a stupid question : A friend of mine who's interested in the battleship Bismarck would like to see a pic or pics of a sailor who's wearing a Donald Duck cap which displays the name "..Bismarck".. I've no clue if such pics exist..,can't imagine I ever saw one.. And...did original caps survive ? I've seen fake cap ribbons though.. Jos.
    6. Here's some other stuff I picked up this Summer.. A early model LKp S 100 Summer flight cap and a 1st model Nietsche & G?nther splitter goggles. Jos.
    7. Thanks guys..! Thanks Frank, A friend of mine bought a box full of flightstuff a while ago from a guy who actually didn't collect... He got it rather cheap.. In it were a mint Summer flightsuit, flightboots,a swimmingvest and the mask.. I could take the mask for less, which I did.. These small benefits still make collecting fun,no ? Jos.
    8. Super item in Super condition !! Very desireable..at least to me that is.. Beautiful watch ! Jos.
