    6. The kind folks at San Giorgio Aste gave me the picture - it featured in their 'Red Sale' last year. There were quite a few Socialist Yugoslavian items in that sale which, as I seem to be on a Yugoslavian kick at the moment, will pop up in the appropriate threads here. Does anyone have a good picture of the Order of the Grand Star of Yugoslavia sash & badge that I can use?
    7. Order of the Yugoslav Grand Star Orden jugoslovenske velike zvezde Instituted: 1 February 1954. Awarded: To foreign Heads of State for the development and strengthening of peace and cooperation between nations. Here is the Star:

    12. Real y Militar Orden de San Hermenegildo Instituted: 28 November 1814 and continued with minor revisions to the present day. Awarded: To all ranks of the armed forces and civil guard for faithful service. Grades: Now 4 (Grand Cross, Star, Commander and Knight), the Commander grade being added since the order's inception. Apart from changes to the crown, the insignia has changed little if at all since 1814. Here is some of the current insignia, according to the latest revision of the statutes in 2000.       Order of Friendship Instituted sometime in the 1960s, and discontinued in 1971 being replaced by the National Order of Merit. It was awarded in one class. Obverse: The reverse is plain. Pity it did not survive - beautiful symbolism!
