Absolutely Stunning photos ! ! ! I like that in pic 1 you can see where pic 2 was taken from, and visa versa. Things like that fascinate me. Dumb question - In pic 4 (lower right) what are those things that look like large bookends??
A seriously strange bar indeed I have found three similiar ribbons (that match the GCM) that are equally as farfetched as the GCM. 1) Canada - Royal Canadian Legion - Ladies Auxillary - Past Officer 2) Jordan - Medal in Memory of War 1939-45 3) Republic of Korea - Order of National Security Merit - 3rd Class (missing the taeguk device) - Cheonsu Honestly I think it might have been made for theatrical or film.
Interesting Most likely a combination of things like the US Para badges- Time on consecutive jump status . . .12, 24, 36, 48 months Different types of jumps . . . training, night, with combat equipment Number of jumps would be more depending on level of badge Jumpmaster status probably for the higher awards
Presentation is well done ! One cannot help but sorry for the guy, and his girl. Pals Battalions what a disaster. Go to war with your mates, and almost everybody dies ! I can see their logic, but they didn't think it through.
I received this as an extra goodie with a couple of SSI's today. Having no reliable Canadian Patch idenfication available I am counting on GMIC. I believe it's Army, but my knowledge ends tthere. In advance Thanks !
Difficult at best. I don't any Luftwaffe Officer Lists have surfaced as of this post (if they ever existed at all). If he were a General maybe, but a Captain.
