    1. Just arrived tonight from Bob in California, a lovely little 3 place Hessian bar. The General Decoration is the "Fur Kriegsverdienst" version. Another bar without an EK2 - I love 'em!! cheers Jason
    2. Anyone out there know who this one was awarded to by the serial number? It might be a long shot but you never know! cheers Jason
    3. Gday Gents thought I'd share a nice little ribbon bar with a Police 18 long service mini on it, since I happened to be playing with the camera this morning! cheers Jason
    4. Thanks Darrell, you know what they say - live and learn! I've certainly done a lot of both since buying this badge!!! cheers and thanks Jason
    5. Hello Gents, I picked this badge up many many years ago from a local dealer here in Australia, but have never had anyone else's opinion on it. It was bought well before the internet became widespread, so I had to rely on his description over the phone. He described it exactly as it appears (a good thing), even mentioning that the rivets had been scratched to see if it was real silver underneath. Anyway, pretty much every other Juncker Obverser Badge I've seen has a different makers mark. I have a non-combatant Hindenburg Cross with this mark, but I'd like to throw this one out there for some more expert opinions from you lads. Even if it turns out to be bad, I can't complain - I only paid $300AU for it! cheers and thanks in advance Jason
    6. Here's the reverse. I'm pretty sure I picked this up around 15 years ago. What manner of attachments are on the back of the fakes Heiko? Any pics? cheers Jason
    7. I'm no expert on these bars by any stretch of the imagination, but it seems to me that the border of the bar is slightly thinner than those normally encountered? I've had a look at my medal bar with 5 clasps on it, to my worn out eyes it seems that way! cheers Jason
    8. Cheers Danny, unfortunately thats all the info I have, unless I can somehow find out how to contact the Canadian branch of my family through my mother.....my grandmother died on October '04 (92 years young) but I do remember she was very vague about him as well. Oh well....more research coming, perfect for those days when its quiet at work..... cheers Jason
    9. Last piece from Borneo for the time being, 5th brithday and victory celebration programme for the 2/12th Field Ambulance. This includes a brief history of the unit, the dinner menu, an invitation to join the unit association, a programme for the unit swimming carnival, an invite to the unit dinner dance and the unit nominal roll.
    10. the inside - in case you can't make out the writing: "To my Dear Iris, Pam, Phil & John With all my love for a happy Christmas & a bright New Year From your loving husband & Dad Cliff"
