Thanks Hardy for the link. Here is a bar I have shown several times for other reasons. But it is rare to see Saxon ribbon without swords. The bar belonged to Oberst Paul Krause from IR Nr. 185. It is with that specific ribbon I could id this officer. Christophe

Hi everybody, I have this nice photo, but I can't put a name on it. First I thought of Ritter von Leeb but the porteppe is Prussian, there is no Bavarian ribbons first (the first one is EK2 following by HHO3X). And to finsih, the uniform (buttons) looks like Prussian. Can someone help me to identify this officer. Thanks Christophe

He received from the Thuringian States a lot of awards: Knight cross 2nd class with X Saxe Ernestine, Medal Carl Eduard 2nd class with X and date, Carl Eduard war cross, Knight cross 2nd class with X Saxe Weimar, Cross of Honor 3rd class with X Reuss, Cross of Honor 3rd class with X Schwarzburg. of course I don't give all awards he received during WW1 and WW2.
