Hi, My friend has found only those items and paper. nothing else. But he can easily find medals. What do you want with french Archives ? I worked two years in the Military Archives near Paris. If you want one officers files during WW1 there is no problem, the Archives can make copy and send it BUT if it concerns officers during WW2 : it will be difficult to have the files. Hi, I have found something but this officer is not Rittmeister (like he is from infantry). Karl Freiherr von Andrian Werburg received the MJ3, BMVO4aX, bot hEK, PL, probably DA. That's all for the moment. He survived the war and became Oberstleutnant in 1939. Christophe

Hi, I have found one Andrian-Werburg Karl Freiherr von who was Leutnant in 16. B.I.R. . In 1913 he has got only the Prinz Luitpold medal. Still searching Regards Christophe

You can find some of small swords on www.ebay.de but is it rare. A lot of them are made after WW1. So be careful Regards Christophe
