    1. This unit built pontoon bridges. Does anyone have any information regarding this unit from Jul 1943 to 1945? I am looking for larger formations that this unit fought with, stammrollen, rangliste, orders of battle or any other information available. I can't find anything on them. Thanks
    2. Hardy How do you keep coming up with good stuff on here? You are like a walking history book that has great topics posted for conversation. Defintely interested in hearing about this officer. Jason
    3. Any way I could get a scanned copy of the documents. I just bought the book that Hardy reccomeded and I am willing to scan and share anything if you would like. Once I look thorugh it, i will tell you what is in it.
    4. I have alot more common stuff that I did not post. I have have alot of common stuff that I just sold. Sorry the pictures are small, but I am only a basic member and I am limited to the size of pictures that I have posted. If anyone would like to get ahold of me, I can send them some better pictures. It is always nice to share collectiosn with people. A quick story on how I started collecting. I started researching my realatives who served in the Great War about 7 years ago and started aquiring things to put his medal together, then eventually as I learn more, it naturally became a hobby and I aquired more and more pieces. This is just a sample. My Collection is a tibute to my Great Grandfather Gefreiter d. R Johann Mathias Kacmarzik, Baden Reserve Infantry Regiment 109. Oblt. d R Robert Ochel served in my Great Grandfather's regiment, so that is why I started a grouping of his. In the future I am going to try to find pictures and more items from his regiment. From 1910-1912, my Great Grandfather served in Füsilier-Regiment Graf Roon (Ostpreuß.) Nr. 33 so that is why I have some things from this regiement. The other stuff is things that I have colelcted that is hard to find. Eventually i would like to owe an original or 1920's copy PLM.
    5. S&L PLM. Guys, this is not a modern Copy. It is the 1957 (have heard 1960's) issue. The ribbon had sweat marks in it. I am assumming that it was a re-issue to surviving winners after World War II. There is a .800 mark on the ring.
    6. I recently aquired a grouping of BADEN Olt.d.R ROBERT OTTO OCHEL. When I purchased the original grouping, I recieved everything in the pictures. The two best parts of this grouping is the orignal photo and the original document for a HOH3X. I added the EK1, and I have EK2 not shown in the photo. I am planning on completing the grouping throughout 2011. I plan on getting all of the medals for the ribbon bar, his Stammrollen records (copy), and Oblt. Shoulder Boards as I continue to look and talk to other collectors in GMIC.
    7. The guys name is Feldw.Lt. Altftadt. He is listed as the 5th Company (Komp) Commander in 1914. (pg. 36) Das Reserve-Infantrie Regiment Nr.109 im Weltkrieg 1914 bis 1918. Looks like he survived from checking the Ehrenstaffel. There are pictures of him in my book. Very small, but you need a mgnifine glass to see. Face is very recognizable.
    8. I know this guy's name. It is listed in my Regimental history of RIR 109. his picture is in the book about three to four times. I will look after work.
    9. How did you ever find a grouping like this? This the most impressive that I have seen. I am trying to put together a grouping for a officer who stuff that i have. I have a HOH3X document, photo, EK1, Ribbon bar. I am trying to get all fo the medals to complete grouping, but you have a grouping that is a gold mine. i am jealeous. :)
    10. I think this third medal on his uniform might be the following: Look at the thrid medal on this picture. I think it is called: Grossherzog Fredrich Cross Any ideas???
    11. Marko Karg has some great items. Would definitely go with him again. Communications is great and item was exactly was I purchased.
    12. Hardy Good news, I found the book mentioned above and it is coming from Germany. If interested, I will send you any scans that you need. I also bought something for you for all of your help. I am trying to get time from work to get it in the mail. Call it a Christmas Gift. Jason
    13. My family is originally from Gumbinnen and Flammberg, East Prussia (now Latvia I believe) and eventually moved to Gelsenkirchen. Anything that you have can help. I would also just like this topic to turn into a discussion if anyone who has realtives who served in the Regiment or stories know. Jason
    14. If you have the Ehrenstaffel or list of Soldier's who died, my Great great uncle was in 3 Company, 1st Battalion. Listed as aa Unteroffizier. His name was Mathias Kaczmarzik (Kacmarzik). Spelling can be a little off. I would love to get a scanned copy of the page and a list of his commanders (Rangliste/Stammrollen). Jason
