    1. Certainly a drunk worker ! too much schnapps the day he soldered the pin ... jacques
    2. Indeed Joe, it has been less awarded than the RK, but fortunatly it doesn't interest to much the collectors. I sold the third one few years ago. It was cased. It is one of my favorite too..it retains a nice design with a very coloured ribbon. Happy New year jacques
    3. Scott, here are the two crosses. On left, attributed to Schäfer family.
    4. Hi, could you post pictures of obverse and reverse of that badge ? jacques
    5. Hi Charlie, welcome to the forum. In order to illustrate our/my opinion, I used pictures I have in my data base, And I confess that sometimes I don't know who is/was the original owner, and thus can't ask him the permission. So sorry if Harrier used your cross, I should had done the same, and I already did the same. The aim is to illustrate/discuss/ with collectors and sometimes give an help. I just give my opinion, it is not THE absolute truth , but just an opinion; it has to be confirmed by others, by books, by experts, and overall our own opinion and feeling. I never try to convince anyone, but just give my feeling. Concerning the drop tail eagles, in which my opinion (still open ) differs from Harrier's one, is that I find them ugly; it is my own opinion and feeling as I wrote. compared to other well detailed and designed eagles from S&L, yes I find them crude. I also find the Zimmermann pigeon looking eagles head ugly. Best regards jacques
    6. No Scott, it is the third I got. another one is still in my collection; part of a grouping. jacques
    7. reverse of this very rare cross. It has been awarded only 315 times. Note as fine the cross and eagles are detailed. the swasticas are sharply cut out. the bronze colour is typical of this manufacture.
    8. This is a new Honor cross for Next of Kin. Mounting not original to the cross but just for display. jacques
    9. Hello, nice ribbons bar. I don't have information about this priest, but concerning the ribbons, I guess it is normal to find the foreign decorations at the end. jacques
    10. Hello, back from Kabul, I share this photo from an album I got during this past few month.
    11. hI, I don't think I will ask any authorization. as you said , bureaucratie is too slow...It will join the other on my medals bar
    12. Hi, the cross itself retains all details of an original L/21. The gilding looks good, at least on the pictures. jacques
    13. Hi guys, thanks for the answer. It is not the same medal, but it looks very close.the design changed but is familiar, and the ribbon's colours are the same except the Bulgarian colours which are now on the right. In fact, I'm currently in Afghanistan and I just have been awarded with this medal. all is written in syrilic and I can't read it. I'll take pics and them here, with the document. jacques
    14. hi, I got a Bulgarian medal, a current one. it is silvered with a peace bird on the obverse. the ribbon is sky blue, with the colors of Bulgaria on the right side. it is for "participation to mission" or something equivalent. is anyone can help me. jacques
