    1. Also the Mint mark of the "Eagle Type" Medjidie orders are more smaller and thinner borders then the other Ottoman Made medjidie Orders. You can compare your Order's mint mark with the below standard Medjidie Order's mint mark.
    2. ...... Now I am posting you a Medjidie Order , "Eagle Type" like yours , without swords but had a Tughra Marked on the reverse. Unfortunately , I sold it , that is why I can not paste the picture of the reverse. But it had Tughra mark.
    3. Dear Joseph , I exactly understand what you mean. What I will tell you is , The Tughra Stamp , up of the mint mark is not usual , it is true , but there is no relation between the un-usual Tughra Mark and the Swords. I see many Medjidie Orders before with Tughra Mark , but I never see Osmanie Orders with Tughra Mark. Anyway , the Tughra Marked All Medjidie orders has one similar characteristic . All of them is "Eagle Style" Medjidie Orders . For example , below I am posting a picture of Standard Medjidie 2 nd Class Breast Star. It is also Ottoman Made , but You can NEVER see Tughra Mark on those Medjidie Orders.
    4. Dear Joseph , Could you please post the picture of the back side. Regards, Avsar Ibar
    5. Dear Joseph , Could you please post the picture of the back side. Regards, Avsar Ibar
    6. Dear Joseph , You have also very nice Order of Medjidie , it is also Ottoman Made. Very Beautiful... Cheers , Avsar Ibar
    7. Dear Rick , Basicly the 2 different Orders I pasted above , I mean the Osmanie Order with Pirate Type Swords and the Breast Star with Normal Swords are the ALL 2 examples of the swords used by Osmanie and Medjidie Orders. For the Order of Murassa (With Diamonds) Iftihar , it only used the second type (As you can see above on the breast star) swords used. Inside the second type swords (the ones on the breast star) , you can also observe that , there are 2 kind of swords which looks very smilar , the ones you can see on the blades with blood gutters and the ones without blood gutters. The ones on my Breast Star are with Blood channel . As some people said that the pirate ones are made earlier period then the normal swords , what we observe is , both of them used starting from the Sultan Reshad Period. The orders didnt made with swords , the swords attached to the orders of the deserved ones later on. This attachement made by mint , never and not by custom jewellers. Even on the Order of Murassa Iftihars 1839 (older order then Medjidie 1851 and Osmanie 1862 orders) , the swords used are the second type swords with blood channels. (Same as the ones you saw above on the breast star) Cheers , Avsar Ibar
    8. The 1 st Class Breast Star of Osmanie Order with Scimitars.
    9. Dear Friends , I am pasting 2 Order of Osmanie with Scimitars , both of them are 1 st Class. And I am pasting a picture of my Order of Meclis-i Mebusan from my stock. It was awarded to the members of the National Assembly , I think one of the most kind and beautiful Order ever made in Ottoman Empire. Altough it was not awarded by the Sultan. Cheers.. Avsar Ibar
    10. Hi There , It is from the WWI , Ottoman , Also still used till late 40s , unfortunately , if it is single , doesnt make to much money , unless there is a set of different variatons. Actullay , Not my branch but , in Turkish Market that alone will not make more then 8 - 15 USD. All the Best , Avsar Ibar
    11. Dear Sirs , I just wish to know , does the ORIGINAL St.Stephan Grand Cross Owners BREAST STAR has any hallmark or stamp on the back of the Breast Star ? Can a St.Stephan Breast star , 90 mm , Excellent Enamel and total workship , WITHOUT any kind of hallmarks or stamps be ORIGINAL ? As I know many of the Rothe Wien ones has the Rothe Stamp on the back. Quick replies will be most appreciate , Thanks in advance , Avsar Ibar
    12. Hi There , I am a dealer in Istanbul - Turkey and I bought the same AWS Star with the original period box for 750 GBP , 20 days ago. Everything is about demand and suply. It is also about the condition and the box ! But if you want BB.CO , now I can sell anyone for 115 GBP with the ribbon. Let me give you an example , the market price of the Bronze Medallion , from the visit of London Series , Sultan Abdulaziz Visit of London Medallion without the box is 1000 - 1500 USD , 8 months ago the emty box of Sultan Abdulaziz London Visit Medallion was sold for 1400 USD on ebay from UK, ONLY THE EMPTY BOX , the buyer was from USA. Any way I sold 2 Russian Orders , oth of them was 2nd Type Alexander Nevski for 3200 USD and 3400 USD before 2 months. Now check it on ebay item number 280220286958 , buy it now price is 7500 , forget about it , I can not buy the Type 2 Nevski for 5000 USD here in Istanbul which I sold 55 days ago for 3200. Cheers , Avsar
    13. And a very RARE , just once I have it , and I sold it A Gallipoli Star with the Middle Size , Please compare it's size with the BB.CO near it.
    14. Hello , Below I am pasting you a picture of a Gallipoli Star with it's own document , given to a Lieutenant Sevket Efendi , (Mulazim-i Sani Sevket Efendi) at 1917. He was served in the Iraq Frontline , it is also written on the document. As you know at the 7 November 1914 , British Forces came to Iraq and at 1915 Turkish army make a battle with the British army whose commander was Genaral Townshend.
    15. Dear Ulsterman , Unfortunately , I can not to read all , only some scripts. Yes I have a few other Gallipoli Stars with own documents , I will post their pictures tomorrow. ( Commander in Chief Of Ottoman Empire Enver Pasha Signed) Dear Sambolini , Thanks for your nice words , I have some Ottoman German Bars , I will post their pictures too , Till today I sold many ... I wish I could keep their pictures... And Dear Rick , Many Years we are also can not prove that BB.CO is in Germany. But I bealive it BB.CO is a German Company also located in Germany , if you ask me why , What I can say is , As we know War medal created in 1915 and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk makes the Alphabet reform at The 1 November 1928 Till 1928 , all the medals , orders and badges which MADE in Turkey has the Ottoman script on them. (I mean if they have any...) (For example , there are many examples of the Medjidie Orders which doesnt have any kind of Mint Mark but even has a small stet mark on their reverse.) Anyway what I observed and bealive is , only the Ottoman Orders and medals which made in foreign countries such as Halley and La Foyalle in Paris , has the Latin Scripts on them. BB.CO is also made in Germany , many people says in Berlin... It could be Private Company which was just doing for our Goverment War Medals . The Star which you post the pictures is also Foreign made one , that is on it is definetely NOT an Arabic mark. 1915 and those years we were in a very hard conditions , I can say you that the only Turkish made Stars are the ones which was plain lacquared ones. Sincere Regards, Avsar Ibar

Below you can see it's picture; Regards, Avsar Ibar
    19. Dear Ulsterman , Thank you. As there is not to much information about the 81 mm Oversized Stars , but what we know is ; they were only used by the high degree officers who carried flags in the war. We call them "Sancaktar" , very , very low quantity made. The campaign bar is " 1915 Gallipoli War Badge" , It is written in Ottoman Language "Canakkale". Yeah , you are right the one on the top left is Ottoman Issued piece. Regards, Avsar Ibar PS: Sorry for my poor English but I dont understand exactly what you mean by ; "Do you have any attributed pieces?"
    20. Hello , 8 stars from my collection. A BB.CO with the Gallipoli Badge on the ribbon. A BB.CO , with the custom made silver marked Crescent and Star on the ribbon. Also An Austrian Made "*" 81 mm diameter , the huge one ! And the others ... Regards, Avsar Ibar
    21. Dear Sirs, The above Turkish Ottoman Pilot badge was made during the years 1914 and 1915 . They made in Germany and in Turkey. The ones which made in Turkey do not have any marks on the back , the ones which made in Germany has the hallmark on the pin or under the pin. On the front uper side , you can see the Tughra Mark of Sultan Resad 5. And also the year 699 is written in Ottoman Language on the down side. (The faundation of The Ottoman Empire) The one which I can see the pictures above , looks like %96 original , I wrote %96 because as you will consider to say I have to take it to my hands. Many of them I sold till today. Also many of the fake ones made in Germany and Polland. Sincere Regards Avsar Ibar Ibar Jewellery Orders and Medals info@avsaribar.com
    22. Dear Haynau , Keith is right , We can Not read this alphabet , it is not Turkish , it is Ottoman Language ( Mix of Persian , Arabic and Turkish) In 1932 we had a alphabet reform , we are nor using any more any Persian or Arabic words, and only using Turkish Latin alphabet. Even in the heart of Istanbul's Antique Bazaar , it is extreme hard to find someone who can read this language... Btw, nice to see you here , I am a new member of GMIC , but your old friend from Ebay. (Ebay name : okazyon) All the Best Avsar Ibar
    23. I am a specialist of Turkish - Ottoman Orderds and medals , and I can say that this bar is not like Turkish style , I feel like , it can be awarded to high degree officer or diplomat in Germany , Also it is interesting because ; You can see the Order of Osmanie 3th or 4th class and Liyakat medal , but what is Hilal-i Ahmer (Red Cresent medal) doing near them... Definitely impressive bar...
