    1. Thanks for the comment Rick! Actually I bought it from Detlev... just need to be lucky and have quick fingers to type for ordering. Here the document issued by German Embassy in Paris, conferming Krug von Nidda's right to be awarded with the Hindenburg Cross. Ciao, Claudio
    2. Judging from the back it could also be a Godet bar without label...
    3. The Johanniter-Kreuz... I'd like to know if it is his cross and when he got it....
    4. The later (after 1934) ribbon bar with all the ribbons according to the medal bar.
    5. According to this list there was only one VC awarded at Dunkirk: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_VCs_of_World_War_2
    6. Here a found a VC awarded at Dunkirk: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harold_Marcus_Ervine-Andrews Ciao, Claudio
    7. Dear forumites, I'd like to show a nice group I recently acquired. St. Heinrich Orden citation: Krug v. Nidda, Roland, Lt. u. Ordonnanzoffz. im St d. K.S. 192. Inf.-Div.; geb. • Preussen, Eisernes Kreuz 2. 8. No problem, Paul... I knew that you meant it in a jokingly way. Sometimes collectors are very selfish, though! But we never had any problem about that... especially on this forum! Ciao, Claudio
    9. Hi Paul, I remember to have already seen that bar 2 years ago at the same show... back then I refused the offer, because it seemed to pricey at that time, but of course I didn't know that that combination was so unique and could have been traced to GFM Model. Paul... you know me... we can always talk together and would never try "steal" a good deal on purpose from a collecting friend. Ciao, Claudio
    10. Matt, Run, run fast!!! ... and don't look back! I won't touch either of these bars not even with a 10 meters long pole... Ciao, Claudio
    11. I remember to have seen the medal bar in a previous Thies' auction... how groups can be split into some many pieces... Incredible!
    12. Wow, Rick, you really have an elephant's memory...
    13. I also asked myself if Model's medal combination could be unique or if there were more officers wearing the same medals... Btw... the only thing I could get from Gehrcke group was a mere Wiederholungsspange... but it's a first/early type! Too bad that Gehrcke group was slip in some many pieces... Claudio
