    1. and the front. And now for the bad news the person I got these from the Grandson of the vet( who died 3-4 months ago) He told me that just last year they both destroyed 3 helmets with a pick axe and 2 of them had "some mountain troop insignia" attached to them boy I would have loved to get those.
    2. Heres a nice IAB that I got in a group from a gebirgs soldier, Its in great shape with almost all of the silver intact, I was wondering who's the maker since theres no markings, also in the group are alot of HJ pins and two party badges. usually you dont find so much from one person but I guess today was my lucky day!!! Thanks for the help!!
    3. And I picked this cheesy patch up before I returned home... I couldnt help myself I liked it! thanks for looking guys! Eric.
    4. This is some propaganda that I found in the streets, It basically says to look out for the green eyed devils, or something to that effect
    5. this might look just like a bundled up piece of silk but its not,it stands for ( Sadr's militia) and it took myself and my section over 5 hours of very heavy fighting and this is what I ended up with. In the end I ripped their flag from their position and it will lay balled up in a heap till the day I die anyways, its a piece of black silk thats about 5 feet in length that was hand sewn into a flag.
    6. heres some photos. when the rest of my stuff comes in Ill post more pjotos, everything from T-72's to candid Sadam photos.
    7. heres a terrble close up of the medals the one on the left is very well made and maker marked on the back from switzerland.
    8. I really like the free Kuwait "tinnie" I was told that these were given out to students after the first gulf war. The wings with the eagles head come from the Iraqi police,
    9. Well Im still getting more of my stuff in which is good because I thought most was lost in the mail Heres a nice beret and some shoulder boards, I know some are the new ones
    10. So do you think these buttons might be original to the jacket?? I guess Austria could have easily gotten RAD jackets and converted them. Now what would a good price be for this?? Eric
    11. I was also thinking that this was converted into a hunting jacket. Eric
    12. Sounds good to me!! It sure looks cast and I was afraid it would be no good but I bought it anyways...looks like I lucke dout this time Thanks again !!!! Eric
    13. Does anyone see any major differences, or maybe the closest match to a known minesweeper badge? Eric
    14. Its amazing whats still arouund, when I looked at the machinery it still has the die stamp in it, it looks like it was for an EK but its really coroded and I didnt feel like getting wet so I couldnt tell for sure. theres maybe 3 presses all together, but one of them is partially covered with concrete and they are HUGE!!! alot bigger than I thought they would be. I know some EK's were made in Idar-Oberstein but i wasnt aware of any KM badges? Eric
    15. Heres the unkown, at least to me since uniforms arent really my thing ,theres no markings or stamps at all on this?? thanks guys Eric
    16. I got these together yesterday the RAD is modified for civilian wear but what is the other Jacket??? Im planning on selling these so if I could get an ID and a rough, fair price that would be great! Thanks Eric
    17. I was afraid that it was cast at least I didnt spend too much on it, Eric
    18. At first glance this would appear to be just another cast badge...... but one of my good friends father worked in a factory in Idar- Oberstein making war badges during WW2 , anyways this badge is a proto type ( I really dont know too much about these I cant see the differance in them ) They sure do look like fakes and I guess technically they are but these are 100% "original" at least pre 45, He has 5 or 6 more and from what he tells me is that when they make the press for the badges they use lead to see the final product, so Im hearing all these "war" stories about badge making when the father tells me that the presses are still around. Only bad thing is that theyre in a river not too far from his place, so we go to check them out , sad to say that they are in VERY bad shape and looks to be just a huge bit of machinery,Ill take some pics next time Im there. Heres some pics of the badge thast was given to me.
    19. heres the back. Ive looked around and the ones Ive seen are similar but not an exact match to mine Thanks!!!! Eric
    20. Im really starting to get into these and this is the first one Ive ever came in contact with, it seems to be made very good, the question is, is it a good one?
