    1. Thank you hucks216 What a great site.... I've requested the image from them today and will share it here (if copyright permits) cheers tony
    2. Hi Gents i have this incomplete photo album. I know the most juicy photos have been removed. I was interested in stopping its deconstruction. I like that the photos have annotations and some haven’t been removed so who knows what they say. i don’t know if the album itself is that old however the photo mounts are brittle and surely of some age. its not something I would usually buy but I was annoyed it was being broken up and the photos being sold for 2quid each. ——:—-//- So Gents, if I may, I’m curious if anyone could tell me if there is anything to know of the man named in the death notice please? Thanks tony edit hi hucks216 i bought this album from the same person as some of these other photos because of your comment on the other post... you are so right.
    3. Hi gents ive just been reading a post called ‘fakes’ about Allied AVM. Ebay was mentioned more than once. it reminded me of a seller who has sold literally hundreds of ‘flachettes’.... when I searched I found him - flachettes for sale currently of course and guess what else... Another tank mask...... For the record... I’ve no idea if I’m right or wrong and I’ve not reported this fella. but for sure.... Ebay likes: offshore tax quoting ‘buyer beware’ ignoring reports of fraud etc etc. tony ——//—- Ps prices are getting lower as more people realise....
    4. Hi Gents Photo card of ‘musikcorps’ 8, IR107 Card written 4/12/01 i think it has those shown listed on it..... and Leib-Grenad.-Regts dated 16/12/07 tony ——-///-/——- hi GreyC and Bayern, Thanks again again and again both. you both are very kind with your time and I never take it for granted.... I had wondered what headwear the man on the left was wearing - I didn’t think of a tschako cover. Given the date I guess he wouldn’t have known war was round the corner and that he would have been back in uniform before long.... regards tony
    5. Hi Gents As I took these pictures I noticed this mans cap.... nice details Nothing on the back sadly tony
    6. Hi Gents first two have same addressee and couple more - still the same tree! and tony ——/////—/—/_ Thanks both tony
    7. A Touch Of Colour Gents! i wasn’t sure whether to include this style if you like them i’ve got a few more These first two are related, written 25/11/14 written 3/12/14 and these next two are also related written 6/12/17 written 7/12/17 tony
    8. Hi Gents I had actually put these here together because 3 had the numbers on the collar tabs and #3 belongs with #1... i was going to say what I thought they were but just couldn’t decide However I thought (!) #1 was 267 - but see the 1 now.... I was sure #2 was 135 I thought #4 was 255 or 235 So today.... I agree #1 is 261 2 is 136 or 236 3 I now think is 253 or 255 I’ll probably see different tomorrow tony
    9. Hi Ian something similar in wear.... collar badges too cheers tony
    10. Hi Gents, First one is dated May 1912 This next one dated April 1914 and last one dated December 1913 tony
    11. Hi Asil76 I feel your pain. It’s a real downer but.... Perhaps you could share pics of the other 3? you never know, they may be good.... tony
    12. Hi Christopher if you google ‘blue service helmet’ you’ll see similar..... tony Edit: ive just seen the more comprehensive answer on your other thread. Go with that!
    13. Thanks Both as always ehemalige is ‘former’ i was reading it as ‘chemelize’ and all sorts! And I couldn’t read that either, cheers tony
    14. Hi gents, Bayern, GreyC thanks for the answers.... So I’m now guessing that the note in the centre was added later. An expansion of the original smaller note at the bottom. That would explain the date being off? The bottom reads... Kaiseradler chemialize* Hohenzollern * chem abbrev above it what is the middle word please? thanks gents tony tony
    15. Hi 1812 Overture i believe green marksmanship awards were issued to Jägertruppe. Certainly green wool balls but I’m not sure if the colour of the lanyard/rope was also green. Also I believe green was issued to pioneers but for skills other than marksmanship. Love the pictures as always cheers tony
    16. Hi Gents This is a mounted photo of the Kaisers yacht Hohenzollern... Nice pencil annotation on the rear..... Gents, I read the date as either 1870 or 1876? However... Googled it just now and as you can see below it says in service 1878 - 1918. So seems to be an early picture... Hope you like it tony
    17. Hi Gents just a thought... could it have been a pin back badge like this one below? It would not have left a significant sign? this one is mine but I don’t know if it’s from that period or if even a cap badge. just a thought..... tony
    18. Hi Bayern I like it. Reservists - they do look more like men than boys.... cheers tony
