    1. Good morning I am transcribing the Field Journal of the kurhessian General Staff during the 1815 campaign against France. The kurhessian army was part of the North German Confederate Army. Of the prussian officers attached to the Staff of this army, I have been unable to find anything on: Kriegscommissar v. Voss. Where would I be able to find out more about him? Hoping you can help me out Regards David
    2. Good morning I have a diary of an Oberjäger who was part of the Kielmannseggschen Feldjägercorps in 1813. Mentioned in the book vividly is a Lieutenant v. Schlepegrell. Would anyone of you (with an interest in Hannover) help me out by finding him in one of the RegimentalHistories or Stammliste of Hannoverian Regiments? Thanks so much in advance David
    3. Hi! Could anyone help me out in finding an overview of the french troops in the city of Rheims on July 8th 1815? In a diary I found a Bataillonschef Buguiner Bussen is mentioned as Rheims' negotiator with the kurhessian blockade force. I was only able to find a General Brasseur in Rheims at that time, of whome I have not been able to find anything either. Soooo, experts, pleas help me out
    4. Thanks! I have no way of referencing your information as I am not able to read cyrillic. So I take your word for.it ?
    5. Thanks to both of you. I have a general idea of the attack on Kassel and the involvement of General Zernitscheff (I can think of only 20 ways of writing his name tbh ) However I would like to make an annotation to this text I have. It seperately names Zernitscheff (spelled like this) and this General Poroschenowitz. Is there an overview of the officers in Zernitscheff's corps, the Corps v. St. Priest or the Division of v. Winzingerode if only for reference?

    8. Great Glenn, thanks. And for all to see as the final decoration on the Generals medalbar: the churhessian order of the Iron Helmet. For more information on this decoration, see my blog at davidmueldner.wordpress.com Some articles are already there, soon more to follow.
    9. Thanks v. Perlet. v.d. G. Was a westfalian officer, as was the main subject of the biography I mentioned. He is one of the fellow officers named. That, and he was a recipient of the CHOEH.
    10. Hi To complete some annotations I am making to a kurhessian biography I am looking for a fully detailed career overview of the prussian General F.W. von der Groeben (1774-1839). Wikipedia unfortunately lacks some info. Hoping someone here can help me out Regards David

    13. Just a question with regard to his career: when he had already served as an Oberstlieutenant in the Greek Army, why was he only reinstated in the bavarian army as an Unterlieutenant in 38?
    14. Hi I am not familiar with the subject but would there be a book on a württemberg militairy order with which the recipient was also raised to the personal nobility? I am looking for details on the career of one Christian Wilhelm v. Kaufmann. He was in w. service before 1814. He entered kurhessian service as a Lieutenant in the Jäger-Bataillon at the end of 1813. Any details appreciated Thanks David
    15. Hi Glenn! I checked his entry at Wikipedia and he apperantly was at Charleville. I assumed he was a cavalry officer, because he is stated as an under the command of Scheffer as stated in my first post. So he does seem to be the v.d. H. I am looking for.
    16. Hi I am looking for careerdata and possible ODM on a NN v. (der) Heiden. He stood 1815 under Oberst Scheffer in the kurhessian cavalry and was mentioned for his conduct at Charleville. 18. Thanks Glenn! Are there not some kind of regimental stammliste of the regiments he served in or commanded? Either he or his brother who ended his career as a GM in bavarian service , was in kurhessian service in 1814-1815. I would love to find a confirmation.
    19. Hi I am looking for an overview of career and decorations of the bavarian kavallerie Oberst Emil Freiherr v. Stockum-Sternfels (1792-1863) A possible picture would ofcourse be very welcome. Thanks a lot David
    20. Great, Glenn! Thanks. I did find a reference on wikipedia. His son went on to be a prussian GM and is listed in Priesdorff. Wasnt sure if my Tiehsen was the same as the GM's father. But I know now. His unit apperantly was at the same places as the kurhessians during the Befreiungskriege. Will find out more about that when I dig in some books on that era again. Thanks so much
