Maybe it's a personal insignia. It seems that the marquis crown is insid. The mantle carries the cross of the Order of Santiago Do not think it's an decoration, because I have not seen anything like it before in this area For spanish books/references recommendations on ODM please see: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php/files/file/111-books-and-articles-relating-spanish-odm/

Antonio Prieto replied to heusy68's topic in People's Republic Mongolia
On May 23, in conjunction with 10 years of Mongolian peacekeeping activity, the Armed Forces HQs declared and summarized the ‘Monthly Campaign for Ten Creative Works’. It has been over ten years since 2002 when UN military observers were dispatched to the Democratic Republic of Congo and almost 6000 Mongolian military servicemen were deployed to 12 countries on 3 continents, successfully fulfilling their duties, accumulating experience, building up a demonstrable record of success, improving foreign language levels and facilitating the creation of the “Armed forces development fund”. More than 500 Mongolian soldiers are deployed today in foreign countries helping to create conditions for lasting peace and security. At the ceremony, some military servicemen were awarded with the medals ‘For Peace in Africa’ and ‘For Peace in Afghanistan. http://www.embassymon.at/news/news_463.html -

His real name is Military Sash -banda militar- (or cord -cordón militar-) for commemorating the end of the spanish civil war Sash (for chiefs and capitans). Constituted by a silk sash, of crimson color and of eight centimeters of width, of whose ends paths hang tassels with bangs of silk of equal color and of twelve centimeters of length. The union of both ends will be done spending the ribbon doubled by a golden ring that will take in his forehead the inscription 1936-1939. The length of the set will be such that the metallic ring stays approximately fifteen centimeters below the waist. Is placed always from the right shoulder to the left side (for chiefs and captains). Cord (for officers) His length and color are the same that those of the sash, and it finishes in made tassels of the same cord. The ring union of both ends takes the same inscription that the ring of the Band, and his dimensions adapted to the thickness of the ends of the cord. The diameter of this one is of a centimeter In use between 1940-1989 Please see http://museoaviacionmilitarespaola.blogspot.com.es/2012/12/el-cordon-y-la-banda-militar.html
