    5. thanks for the answer gents, that sure clears things up. although not military, still a nice medal to look at. the year of the pilgrimage is 1934.

    7. Hello Gents, I would like to know if anybody can help me. I need the list of all of Zhukovs's awards in English please. In english I can only find lists from a few of his medals, and I can find the lists in Russian, which for me is unreadable. All help is very much aprreciated. Thanks in advance. kind regards, Roeland
    8. Hello gents, I have this uniform from a Dutch Colonel, a pre 1940 tunic. It is named to Geus Storm. is there anybody who can tell me more about this man? It looks like he also had a spange with medals, because there are severeal loops of wires on the uniform where it should be attached to, of course also very possible looking at the rank. (ps, the shoulderboards on the uniform aren't correct) thanks in advance
    9. thanks for the replies, I was just about to post something I found out as I read your replies. http://www.wt-pempel.de/dsr.htm I also found out it is indeed from a petrol lamp, so not military but nice to find out what was used in the foreign legion camp. kind regards, Roeland
    10. thanks for the additional information. I'll try to contact the service historique de la d?fense to see if they can help me with more information. kind regards, Roeland
    11. Hello, I'm asking this on behalf of someone I know. He found a lot of items in a former Foreign legion camp near Carcasonne. including these items. The left on is a foreign legion button, however we can't make out the item on the right. it says: 15''' STELLA-BRENNER anybody any clue? Thanks a lot. kind regards, Roeland
    12. Wow great information, just what I was looking for! Thanks for clearing up on the 507 RCC. many thanks to the both of you! Did he only get the Leg.hon. commander and croix de guerre? I would like to know if he had more, like WW1, or service medals etc.if anybody can find anything about that thanks. kind regards, Roeland
    13. It is the general as shown at the link. Actually I don't know if the regiment was later or before the 4th army tank commander period. Sorry if I wrote that wrong in my last post. I can't read the sellers handwriting, I'm missing some keywords about the 507, something to do with a school. here's a scan of the writing: sentence starts from: ''Il avais commandi le 507 ....'' I can't make out some words. I only read he commanded the 507, the next thing up to school I can't read, as well as the words between school and Versailles (des.... ?), the sentence ends after Versailles. thanks for the help. kind regards, Roeland
    14. Hello, I bought this commandeur Legion d'honneur cross, it was awarded to General Guillot. I believe he was a commander in 1940 of the 4th army, and later the 507 RCC? That is all I know about him, who can tell me more please? other awards, his life, his career etc. there also should be a book about the 507 RCC, does anybody know the exact title and where I can get it. It is supposed to have a picture of this medal I bought. thanks in advance! kind regards, Roeland
    15. thanks for all the information, it is very helpfull. The uniform is dated January 1945. As stated, the emblem and medals date from much later, has it been used that long? The uniform is in a very good condition, normally I wouldn't expect a tunic to be used for over 15 years, and especially beeing in that condition after all that time. kind regards, Roeland
    16. thanks for the quick reply, it's very helpfull. would you perhaps know what the other emblem is? is it for the rank or something else? Thank you. kind regards, Roeland
    17. Hi I bought this foreign legion tunic, with medalbar ribbon. Could anybody tell me what they are for? the tunic was made in WW2, and according to the seller was also used in Indo china. thanks for any info on this nice tunic. kind regards, Roeland
    18. I've noticed something about the first class, the grand cross. not all of them have the green leaves on top. Like the one in post 3, it doesn't have the leaves on top of the medal, just the medal attached to the sash. While looking on the internet I've seen grand crosses with and without the leaves. is there any explanation for it?
    19. thanks for the compliments. normally I don't because of copyright, but in this case I'll make a once in a lifetime exception, PM sent kind regards, Roeland
    20. it had to be in the period 1930-1941, as those are the only years the decoration excisted. my best guess is Adjutant of the General with Special Duties in the RKM (01 Oct 1934-01 Oct 1935), but I'm not sure of course
    21. thank you very much webr55, I also think the Italian was a mistake indeed. Most people don't know the yugoslavian crown order and it looks a littlebit like the italian, so it's very possible someone didn't look to good and confused them. Italian:
    22. Here's a closeup. I hope I can be so freely to use this picture from a different gmic topic about the order itself: Paul,do you, or does anybody else, have any idea where I can find information about Walter Leuze?
    23. It's the crown order of Yugoslavia (1930-1941) A royal order, awarded to the military, but also to civilians for proven services to the country or royal family. you can compare it with the German order of the crown (prussia), practically you can compare it with a lot of royal (crown) orders from all kind of countries.
    24. Hello gents, didn't know where exactly I should post this question. I'm looking for information on the german Walter Leuze, he was a colonel. I bought this picture of him and would like to know more about him. The back of the picture stating: Oberst Leuze. He's wearing a 2nd or 3th class cross of the Yugoslavian crown order, quite special as the germans came in 1941 and since then the monarchy didn't excist anymore and the order seized to excist, I've heard he might have been the ambassador or something like that in Yugoslavia before the Germans came. I have a 1st class grade in this order, therefore it would be nice if I can add this pciture and story to the display on this order because he is a German receipant. thanks for any information. kind regards, Roeland
