BTT. Anyone???

Would it realy matter what type shoes? If he has on mechanics coveralls and flying boots what would that indicate about the flight helmet? Every pic that I have posted that shows a short cord (Bf-109, Bf-110 and Ba 349) was a fighter type plane. Yes I agree, very few pics, some not so clear, but this one is. Maybe not typical, but certainly not post war. Last time I checked these threads no one has ever posted any post war pic with a short cord in use. But then again, I have it all wrong.

Obviously no matter how many pictures I post in this thread or other threads some people won't change thier minds about short cords. Compare the hanger doors in the background. Everything about the picture points to being wartime, LKp-N101, Schwimmveste & Bf-110. Who used Bf-110's post war? As far as I can tell it's "no one". I believe Francois wanted to see his shoes.?????????????? Mechanic, janitor, pilot, secretary, does it really matter what they are. It still shows a short cord helmet. They apparently existed. I recently picked up a WWII Luftwaffe Officers visor cap id'ed to Karl Beilner. In a quick search I found this, Korpl Karl Beilner of Flik 35 received his Feldpilotenabzeichen on 5 May 1917. There was a winner of the Austro-Hungarian Golden Bravery Medal Aviation-Services, Karl Beilner, Zugsfuhrer, FliK 35, 21st Sept. 1918. Is there any other info. availible? Did he serve in the WWII Luftwaffe after the Anschluss? Regards, Mike

Here are two type 3 goggles, notice the difference in rear frame thickness (the raised part) between the upper & lower goggles. There is also a difference in thickness between the left and right side frames on the lower pair. Isn't there also a version of the 3rd type that can be completely folded in half? On another note, there are variations on the metal cans for the type 3 goggles. Some cans say "Splitterschutzbrille" and others say "Splitterschutzbrillen". I believe there may also be a difference in letter font/script between cans? Is the word Splitterschutzbrillen plural and did these cans contain 2 pair of goggles? I ask this becuase many years ago I was offered a can with 2 pair of completely folded type 3 goggles that fit in 1 metal tin. Regards, Mike
